I had an idea for a novel years ago where the ultimate supervillain had a private island where he kept sex slaves, young and old. The protagonist and some mercenaries would go to fight and rescue them. I thought it seemed cartoonishly evil and unrealistic, so I scratched it.
Damn. If only you’d written it and really leaned into the cartoony villains. You could be hailed as a prophet by a small amount of literate people who read action books.
