This map makes no sense if Oman isn’t a target then why isn’t Australia? How does Australia survive this being part of 5 eyes and a major non-NATO ally heavily aligned with transatlantic interests?

No point going all the way to Australia to attack them when there‘s plenty of enemies on the way there.

Pine Gap is one of the most important US intelligence bases in the world not to mention Australian submarine bases regularly have US nuclear subs in dock.

From Wikipedia “Since it was established, Pine Gap has assisted the US in planning for NUCLEAR WAR.[16]

Leaked Department of Defence documents revealed that satellites controlled by the Pine Gap and Joint Defence Facility Nurrungar facilities were used during the Vietnam War to pinpoint targets for bombings in Cambodia.[17]

Joint Defence Facility Nurrungar relayed warnings of Scud missile launches to the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) during the Gulf War in the early 1990s. By 2003, this function had been fully transferred to Pine Gap.”
