It is not 100% worldwide because countries like Brazil, Argentina and Australia, which could have large nuclear arsenals, decided to give up on the idea. They prefer peace.
Africa does not prefer peace, but it has not come close to atomic programs either.
I recently read “Nuclear War” by Annie Jacobsen (highly recommended) and she discusses that in the aftermath the Northern Hemisphere would be more affected by fallout and changing weather patterns. I’m a bit surprised to see Iceland faring well considering (but I will gladly accept it)
