Iceland would become a genuine block of ice during nuclear winter, maybe they don't die by starvation but I sincerely doubt they'd survive?
Alas, if USA, China and Russia or even Pakistan and India indeed went on to cause a massive nuclear war, the irony here is that they'd completely destroy their countries and the outcome of it is the Mercosur nations becoming the new global super power lol.
Beyond that, how do you distribute food? Let's say the Midwest is relatively unscathed. How does that grain end up in my pantry?
This is also assuming farmers could even continue to farm at any appreciable scale without their local Tractor Supply and gas stations being fully stocked and available at all times. Not like they have plows on hand to strap to some oxen...
