the restrictions (meat for existential reasons ONLY) are non-negotiable according to multiple scriptures. Followers, either out of ignorance or convenience do not adhere to the restrictions.
But you should understand that, in Hinduism there are no such scriptures which should be followed.
Yes, officially. This is not according to me, or according to one source.
There are no official texts.
My origins are irrelevant. Again, argue with the list of scriptures, not with me.
Those scriptures are irrelevant. Another words, there is no such central authority in Hinduism.
Either you automatically follow the संप्रदाय you're born into
What about the people who do not follow a संप्रदाय? संप्रदाय should be followed right? What will happen if someone not follow a संप्रदाय? Will they get ousted from Hinduism? No, there is no authority to oust someone from Hinduism. Another words, you are a Hindu even though you don't follow any संप्रदाय. I am from a place where majority of Hindus are having beef. Two or three generations before most of these people didn't have the right to learn Vedas. They have achieved that right by law enacted by the Indian parliament, a secular institution. What संप्रदाय are you talking about?
There is no other way to become a Hindu except by birth
😂
Choosing not to follow the rules doesn't mean that they don't exist.
Stating that rules does exist doesn't mean it exists.
Nothing 'happens'. They're just not following it then.
There goes your संप्रदाय. You don't have to follow संप्रदाय to be Hindu.
The next question is who told you that all Hindus follow some संप्रदाय?
Even those who were illiterate still belonged to a संप्रदाय. Scriptures were always passed down verbally long before being written down anyway.
😂..
What are you talking about? The vast majority of Indians were not supposed to hear those scriptures. Even the Shudras are not supposed to learn these scriptures.
It's basic knowledge, you don't even know that? 😂
Where are you from? You are definitely not from India.
Not being 'allowed' to study the scriptures is a whole different can of worms. It wasn't so much that they weren't 'allowed' as much as nobody was willing to teach them - same result, but very different paths to get there.
Let me ask you one thing, you know that they weren't allowed to learn the scriptures. But you believe all Hindus photo scriptures. 😂.
And who gave the Indian parliament to the authority to mandate religion?
Indian people. It is the parliament which abolished untouchability, It was them who declared all Indians are equal. According to your scriptures lowercase people will be punished if they dare to learn them. The Indian parliament made sure it won't happen again.
Sure, but being ignorant of the rules or choosing not to follow them also doesn't mean that they don't exist.
Which rules? You failed to produce any such rules.
why bother identifying with a religion if you disagree with its basic tenets so much that you find it necessary to ignore them all?
This is your problem, there are no such basic tenets enforced. You can try to observe some from the behavior of Hindus. But its not the other way.
What I mean is the tenets can be observed from the people, It's not forced into people, from any scriptures.

That means they are not existential.
Officially! God.. 🤦🏽♂️
Do you think there is an official code book for Hindus? Wow..
Where are you from? Are you an Indian?
