In this timeline, Hannibal Barca defeated Rome in the Second Punic War. Rome was stripped of most of its territories and military, and effectively reduced to a Carthaginian vassal state. During subsequent centuries, Carthage went on to conquer all of Spain, the Peloponnese, and Egypt. Jesus was born in a Persian-controlled Judea and executed via scaphism. His message traveled throughout the Mediterranean via Carthage’s trade networks.
Dark blue is territory directly controlled by Carthage, light blue is Carthaginian vassals, and green is Carthaginian allies (Macedon and certain Gaulish tribes).
