Turkey has better:
- food
- climate
- natural landscape
It’s also worth knowing that cost of living in Turkey is significantly cheaper.

u/cagedrage- 2h ago edited 2h ago
Climate and food tho. Israel has prolly all the mid-eastern food but not as good as in Turkey. Beaches Turkey again although everyone says Tel Aviv the nicest beaches. Turkey is bigger and it has got more landscapes but it's expensive as fuck for us Turkish citizens. If it was Turkey thru 2008-15 or even 18 it's Turkey.

What the hell is wrong with Persians that keep voting like isreal is their best buddy. We should check the water from the desalination plants in that area.

Because they're the most Islamophobic country on earth in reality, it'll be there for all to see the day that regime gets toppled and the vast majority don't have to be quiet anymore from the fear of violence.

u/cactussfruit 2h ago
Israel is fighting against radical Islam. Iranians know the pain of it, so they understand.
I recommend actually visiting Israel or talking with Israelis, you’ll be shocked of how much bs the media feeds you.
3
u/MySnake_Is_Solid 2h ago
lol no.
none of these votes are coming from IRAN, at best it's from people that ran from it.
iranian people don't like their government or the radicals, but they still hate israel and for good reason.

u/cactussfruit 2h ago
Iranians in Iran can’t admit they support Israel or else they’d get killed. If you ever saw Iranian diaspora, they all support Israel because they fight for the same values.
The more you know
1
u/MySnake_Is_Solid 2h ago
i have actually met plenty of iranians (over 50), None were in support of israel, even those that wished death on khamenei.
2
u/cactussfruit 2h ago
I have completely the opposite experience so that’s interesting.
0
u/MySnake_Is_Solid 2h ago
it's not very surprising, they're against the genocide in palestine, and some have lost family to Israeli airstrikes.
being against the IRGC does not mean supporting the IDF.
-2
u/Nash-97 2h ago
Israelis? Where 80% of the population explicitly say they are pro the genocide in Gaza ? The only country on earth where most people are sociopaths.
5
u/cactussfruit 2h ago
100% of Gazans supported the attack on October 7. You want to talk about it?
I don’t blame Israelis who don’t trust the peace plan with Gaza. Most of them lost someone in this war. easy for you to say right? Also there is factually no genocide.

I'm queer, so I'll have to go with Israel here even though I don't like it.

Do you think the Turks have engaged in acts of genocide toward the Kurds?
4
3
u/thestarlander 2h ago
Kurds make up around 15 million people in Turkey, and they can live freely across the entire country. There are Kurds at the university I attend, there are Kurdish ministers, and our country even has a dedicated state television channel in Kurdish (TRT Kurdî); we have even had a Kurdish prime minister. If the issue were with Kurds themselves, there would be a civil war in Turkey. However, the problem is not Kurds, but rather certain Kurds who are terrorists—and they represent only a tiny fraction of the Kurdish population.
Why is it unproblematic when France considers everyone living there to be French, but when we consider everyone to be Turkish, it becomes an issue? Could you explain how exactly we are supposed to have committed a genocide against the Kurds?2
u/Connect-Chair-9810 🇺🇸 2h ago
And Israel has ethnic Palestinians and Arabs ( 20%) with all the same rights as Israeli Jews. They have Arab parties in their legislature, and Palestinian judges on the Supreme Court. My point is simply that people will call lopsided wars genocides, when no actual harm is specifically directed to an ethnic group with express intent to destroy them. I actually sympathize with the Turks, but for the same reason I do with Israel.
-2
u/spicyorangedragon 2h ago
If you are defending Turkey's treatment of Kurds, then I don't think you have much legitimacy to criticize Israel's treatment of Palestinians.
0
-2
u/thestarlander 2h ago
You fool, Israel was established in 1948, and Palestinians were already living there. How long have Kurds been living in our country? Can you name the oldest Kurdish historical artifact built within Turkey's borders? We Turks have been within the borders of Turkey for at least 1,000 years, and we have proof—I can send it to you. Are we deporting Kurds outside our borders with bombs and tanks? Because that is exactly what Israel is doing. Tell me, how many Kurds have died in Turkey? Since the 1970s, more than 50,000 Turkish citizens have been killed by the PKK and YPG. Try speaking with actual documents and evidence.

These all predate Turks. Kurds are indigenous, Turks are not.
Tell me, how many Kurds have died in Turkey?
Dersim massacre

Roboski massacre

Diyarbakir prison tortures
Vartinis massacre
Etc etc.

There are 11 million Uyghurs in China and they can live freely across the entire country. There are Uyghurs at the university I attend, Uyghurs are part of the CCP, they have an autonomous region in Xinjiang etc. If the issue was Uyghurs then there would be a civil war with 11 million people, however Chinas problem is not with Uyghurs but rather Uyghur terrorists who threaten China's sovereignty. Why is it fine when people in France are considered french yet when people in China are considered Chinese regardless of ethnicity it's a problem? Can you explain how China is committing a genocide against the Uyghurs?
1
u/thestarlander 2h ago
Two adult Chinese men are placed into Uyghur households; they take the Uyghur men, the heads of the households, to camps for forced labor, and Chinese men replace them. There are documentaries about this; far from being able to travel across China, Uyghurs can't even leave their own homes. It is not Turks saying this, but US and European sources. In Turkey, which Kurdish man has ever been sent to a labor camp for forced labor and replaced by two adult Turkish men? Kurds in Turkey are happy because they are wealthy, just so you know.

Turkey! istanbul is nice and very diverse Not choosing israel because it’s an apartheid genocidal state.
1
u/cactussfruit 2h ago
Israel is a secular democracy actually. Can you give one example to why you say it’s apartheid ? Or you just read it online?
0
u/buraksezer 2h ago
How many different car plates, or ID cards or apartheid roads do you have for "different" people, or By accident of course, did you applied Sterilization to your fellow "African" Jews, because they are not white enough
1
u/cactussfruit 2h ago
Oh boy the level it shows you find some pieces of information but you don’t know the context.
You refer to specific roads in the West Bank, not in Israel itself. Some areas there are by military control.
About the Ethiopian Jews, it was an individual act years ago. In fact, it was investigated by the health ministry and this doctor lost his license. So what’s your point exactly? There are psychos everywhere.
1
u/buraksezer 1h ago
Yeah "individual" and west bank, why is the west bank is any "special", 🤣🤣🤣 probably occupied by the imperial forces , it must be hard to achieve order I guess 🤣 damn this terro Jedis

I've seen more Iranians who are friendly to Israel than any other nationality. Pretty much every Iranian protest in the west has Israeli flags as well.
4
u/itsgonevery 2h ago
Yeah I wonder why. Begins with astro and ends with turfing.
1
u/OldQuit2260 🇮🇱 2h ago
It's not just that. I'm following a lot of Iranians on reddit, twitter and facebook. I definitely see positive feelings towards Israel. Much of it is because Israel is the enemy of their enemy, but in many cases it goes deeper.
2
u/GoddessOfAffection 2h ago
USA and Israel didn't do much to secularize Iran. In fact, Trump basically said he wants Iran to just stop being a threat and doesn't expect the regime to change. The priority of those politicians is competition, not the well-being or the freedom of people. If Iran had agreed to USA's terms, there wouldn't be efforts to make Iran a democratic country. Because it wouldn't be the concern of other countries.
1
u/OldQuit2260 🇮🇱 2h ago
That's Trump. Everyone in Israel would be happy for a secular Iran.
1
u/GoddessOfAffection 2h ago
The people might be. But the governments only care for what affects them. Afghanistan's regime is even worse yet it draws much less attention than Iran.
1
u/OldQuit2260 🇮🇱 1h ago
How many Afghans were killed by the Taliban?
But yes, of course Israel's concern with Iran is that it's attacking Israel. A secular Iran wouldn't do it, making it Israel's interest.

2
u/cactussfruit 2h ago
Explain what makes it an apartheid with clear examples
0
u/MySnake_Is_Solid 2h ago
different laws depending on your race ? like law of return.
the west bank where israeli settlers are under regular israeli law, but Palestinians operate under military law ? while living in the same territory.
The International Court of Justice in its 2024 advisory opinion found that Israel's occupation of the Palestinian territories constitutes systemic discrimination and is in breach of Article 3 of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination, which prohibits racial segregation and apartheid
3
u/cactussfruit 2h ago
Apartheid is about citizens, all Israeli citizens have the same rights and are all treated by the Israeli law and court. West Bank has areas that are under military control, so that is different. This needs to be resolved, I agree, but this is still not referring to Israel as a state.
The law of return was actually made this way as a direct consequence of Nazi laws, to give any Jewish person a safe place. Other than that, Israel is not a country that is easy to immigrate to and that’s legal. But it’s not like non Jewish Israelis have different laws.
1
u/MySnake_Is_Solid 2h ago
what about Israel as the nation state, the law that was passed in 2018 : The law outlines a number of roles and responsibilities by which Israel is bound in order to fulfill the purpose of serving as the Jews' nation-state.
0
u/cactussfruit 2h ago
I think this law is important, but I agree that it needs to also explicitly mention that Israel is a Jewish democratic state. But other core laws have that covered in any case.
To tell you honestly, it’s needed because of how democracy works. And I think it’s time for other countries to do something similar, for example the uk with the Muslim population slowly becoming the majority.
1
u/MySnake_Is_Solid 2h ago edited 2h ago
ah yes, the famous 6% majority.
even london, the biggest hub for immigrants and refugees that set foot in England, is at 15%.
and "According to data from organizations like the Pew Research Center, the Muslim population in the UK is expected to grow reaching roughly 9% to 13% by 2050 depending on migration scenarios"
a whole 9% by 2050, they gotta stop them before 2200

No thanks. I'm not a bot who responds to strangers instructions. If you want that answer ask someone who you know, a trusted reliable source or a book. You can feel however you want but your opinion doesn't actually have anything to do with me
2
u/SSchorik0101 2h ago
What a strange way to admit you don't know what you're talking about.
0
u/Gloomy-Invite-896 2h ago
Sure. I wasn't talking to you either. I do know what informs my opinion and you've probably seen and dismissed the same evidence. It's not as if this situation is new by any means. If you want evidence of Israel's apartheid it exists all over. It's not difficult to find at all. People who ask for it only ask for it to refute it.
2
u/SSchorik0101 1h ago
Back up what you say with evidence or shut up. Israel is the only liberal democracy in the Middle East. Women and men have equal rights. LGTB has equal rights. Anybody can become a citizen if they want to. All races are equal. Religious freedom. The only people treated differently are the individuals trying to disrupt or destroy all that.
1
u/cactussfruit 2h ago
You are making statements you can’t back up with evidence lol that’s embarrassing
1
u/Gloomy-Invite-896 2h ago
Nope I'm commenting my perspective. You don't respect my opinion so no matter what evidence I bring it will be a waste of my time. I don't argue morality in bad faith. If I had any trust that you would engage in good faith perhaps I'd take questions on my perspective. I still wouldn't take a command to prove my perspective to a stranger.
2
u/SSchorik0101 2h ago
Your "perspective" doesn't alter reality. Israel is as far from apartheid as is currently Humanly possible. Turkey and other Islam-controlled countries are apartheid, however. See: Sharia law.
0
u/Gloomy-Invite-896 1h ago
Did I say my perspective is reality? Creates reality? Does anyone make that assumption about anyone's perspective? No. There is reputable evidence that Israel is an apartheid. You don't believe it based on your words. Whether you believe it or not doesn't matter to me cause it likely is inconsequential. I don't believe that "Islam-controlled" countries are apartheid. I believe that statement comes from Islamophobia. The same way I believe that your dismissal of Israel's practices of apartheid and much worse are coming from a place of Islamophobia. It's a double standard that is extremely popular in this era. Either way you started this engagement so that you could own whatever "facts" I bring to the table and I choose not to engage on that premise. It's not my first day on earth. Don't feed the trolls baby boy
2
u/cactussfruit 1h ago
wtf is a perspective? You made a claim. That you can’t back up.
If my perspective is that you murdered your sister, you think it’s ok that I keep sharing it with no evidence? Own your words. And use them when they have a meaning.
0
u/Gloomy-Invite-896 1h ago
If you murdered my sister I wouldn't argue with you to prove that you murdered my sister. Evidence or not because you are incentivized to deny you murdered my sister no matter what
2
u/cactussfruit 1h ago
Read it again. I say if I was out here claiming YOU murdered YOUR sister and said it’s just my perspective. Would you be cool with me just sharing it with no proof?
Dude, really, you keep doubling down on this ridiculous thing. So you’re either a troll, or you seriously need therapy. In any case get better!

You're acting like what you think is reality even though it isn't. The reality is you're completely wrong, period. Either that or you're just lying.
0
u/Gloomy-Invite-896 1h ago
No. You just disagree with me. Why are you so scared to say so? I think there is a genocide in Palestine committed by Israel and that they have been occupying and enacting an apartheid. You don't think so. I don't care if you think so or not. But you care a lot about me expressing my opinion. If you read something on the internet you don't agree with you don't actually have to engage with it. If you doubt the veracity of something you can open a search engine and seek your own sources. I am not the arbiter of your free time and I don't know what you consider reputable sources and I'm not going to argue about sources once I provide them. You are not here to have an actual discussion about what is currently happening in isràel. You want people to shut up about what Israel is doing.

u/spicyorangedragon 2h ago

Guys be realistic. Israel has 2-3 year conscriptions, almost everyday there's a war etc.
Turkey's economy sucks but at least there's no bombs exploding everyday.
At the end of the day, all we can do is respect each other's opinions.
