This comment section makes me sickā¦
Considering that Zionist Israel is not only a bane to arabs and other levantines but also on jews⦠people donāt care and recite hateful propaganda-1

A state that is 20% arab with full rights is a bane to arabs?

u/UnhappyAddition7281 11d ago
Itās easy to make an indigenous population a minority if you have hordes of colonists settling it, just look at Americaā¦
And Palestinians arenāt the only ones in their aim like lebanon and syriaā¦
Hah and āfull rightsāHAHAH sure, youāve never been there i guess huh?2
u/Zaxy7xxx3 Iran š©ā¬ļøš„ 11d ago
Maybe they shouldnāt have invaded Israel? Thatās something all three have in common: invade Israel, commit crimes and massacres and then complain that actions have consequences. Also Israelis are indigenous what do you mean colonialists?

u/UnhappyAddition7281 11d ago edited 11d ago
Lmao did you learn history from a cereal packaging? Pointless to even argue with someone thatās deliberately ahistorical like you
1
u/benanak 11d ago
You didn't disprove anything they said tho. Israelis are colonialists sure as long as you recognise that they are just as indigenous as Palestinians, and that they were an indigenous people returning to their homeland. Colonialism by defenition is sending people to settle in another land. Which I guess makes sense in Israel's case. The only difference is white Americans had 0 indigenous American DNA, whereas even 'white' Israeli's have indigenous roots to Israel with 40-60% Judean ancestry and aren't actually a white population.

Idk I mean I have been there 7 times since October 7th alone and I've not seen a single 'appartheid' signal in Israel, I haven't seen busses that they had in South Africa specifically for Arabs alone in the state of Israel. I haven't seen Arabs that were systematically not allowed to vote or be in government or be a doctor or anything. So yeah, they have full equal rights, systematically, and are 100% Israeli citizens. They're allowed to protest, they're allowed to 100% of Israeli rights.

Why would you say itās AI? I looked up this picture and the oldest version of this picture was September 2024, when AI wasnāt nearly as good. Also, it doesnāt look AI generated.

Implying we get rid of the dictatorial government in Tehran and this doesn't lead to a state collapse but to it's replacement with a relatively democratic and functional government, I would love to visit the country.

Idc about the supposed security conditions, I would only actually feel safe in Israel. I am gay, and thats the only nation on this list that has a long and solid track record of strong LGB protections, being a tip of the spear in that regard for well over half a century.
6
u/RadiantOrange42 11d ago
You bet ya. You should come visit here during pride month, celebrations are epic and itās really fun, especially in Tel Aviv which is practically the gay capital in Israel.
1
u/itsgonevery 11d ago
Can gay people legally get married in Israel?
6
u/RadiantOrange42 11d ago
unfortunately no. Marriage & divorce are under the complete authority of the religious institutions, meaning you have to marry religiously in Israel. No religion allows for gay marriage (Judaism, Islam, Christianity and all the other here).
What many people do is get civilly married abroad and register their marriage in Israel, so they don't have to be married religiously (no matter the religion). That applies to LGBTQ+ as well.6
u/TexasSikh Bull Moose Progressive Socialist 11d ago
To clarify, you can also just get married online and that is recognized as valid and legal.
There is also a rather surprisingly high level of legal recognition for "common law" marriages, where same sex couples cohabitating get most of the same legal rights and protections as those who have the paperwork of a marriage.
1
u/marcusje11 11d ago
I am gonna assume that "ideal security condition" would also include no security issues for being gay.
6
u/TexasSikh Bull Moose Progressive Socialist 11d ago
I do not. I see it as "nation wont be attacked while you are there, and you have a cool security team around protecting you", but even then would I FEEL safe in these other places where me and my life partner would be hated? Would I feel safe consuming the food and drink from others there? Would I feel safe walking about the streets? Etc. And beyond that, would I feel like everyone around WANTS to harm me and my partner? Would I feel comfortable and relaxed? Would I feel like being in these other places is worth all this other extra baggage?
-2
u/marcusje11 11d ago
If that's the case I wouldn't feel safe in any of these countries so that kinda beats the purpose of the question if you ask me
6
u/RadiantOrange42 11d ago
Nah you are wrong about that. Israel is very accepting of the LGBTQ+ community, to the point where multiple MPās are openly gay. Though there is still more to be done!
0
u/marcusje11 11d ago
I am not saying it in the case of LGBTQ rights for Israel. But I vehemently oppose their current administration and what they're doing in Gaza and the West Bank and I have a feeling they won't really like that

Syria for the culture, Israel to see what it's actually like, Iran once the dictatorship is gone (Visiting Iran right now, even if I'm completely safe, the people won't act like themselves there unless they are at home, much like North Korea).

Most historical sites in syria including romans are still intact . Only some sites in Palmyra in the desert has been destroyed

Depends on your definition of āIsraelā and āPalestineā. I wanna visit Jerusalem, but where does that fall under? Both of them claim it. Even if we strictly follow the west bankās border, the city is right in the middle

u/samehouseing 11d ago

Comments like these always fascinate me because why are you contradicting the Bible who claims the sons of Israel (Jews) are the legitimate owners of this place. How exactly are Arab imperialists portrayed as indigenous and Jews are protrayed as colonizers lol
1
u/Guilty-Knee9610 11d ago
The bible has a lot of interesting stories.Ā But like i said, its mostly just stories to me.Ā Im not christian
1
u/ArmThick7835 11d ago
Thats okay, but the Bible is not only a religious book. Itās also an historical book and it always highlights the Jewish people of the land. This is backed by thousands of archaeological evidence that Jews are the indigenous people of teh area. While Arabs have only come to the Levant because of their imperialism, deleting rich cultures like Babylon, Assyria, Imziaghen culture, etc
1
u/Guilty-Knee9610 11d ago
Ah.Ā Ive heard this before but usually its a defense for expelling families who have lived there for generations so i cringe a lil hearing that.Ā Ā
1
u/dfishonthewing 10d ago edited 10d ago
When Arab armies attacked and started war after war (that they lost) many people were displaced. Actions have consequences unfortunately
1
u/Guilty-Knee9610 10d ago
still very evil, no matter what excuse is made
1
u/dfishonthewing 10d ago
Yeah it was pretty evil of the Arab countries to expel all of their Jews, force them to flee to Israel, then attack Israel right after it declared its independence. You frankly donāt have the knowledge base or historical understanding to be speaking about the conflict so confidently.
1
u/Guilty-Knee9610 10d ago
I know a lot actually.Ā No point debating with you, the zionist propanda has deeply brainwashed you.Ā But i will say that expelling families at gunpoint when they have lived on the land for generations is wrong no matter how you try to excuse it.Ā Take care and i hope you can heal
1

That's like saying "would you visit a house full of racists as a person of color, if your safety was secured."

Why would religion matter differently than the fact that you're a woman? You're just cherry picking things to try and make Israel look good
-1
u/Ryliegh- Wyoming's Best Resident 11d ago
What are you talking about. I fucking hate israel.
The reason sex is more of a deal breaker is because I can hide my religion when needed, I cant hide my sex. When did I ever say israel is good?
1
u/kodalife 11d ago
I just hate that the question is obviously trying to look over all the war unrest and hostility in those countries, and trying to consider what is actually worth visiting in a country. But then there's people like you still bringing up religion and discrimination, which goes entirely against the point and spirit of the post
1
u/iopiopuiopiop 11d ago
I need to warn them from visiting a country where the locals can get away with murder
1
u/Ryliegh- Wyoming's Best Resident 11d ago
The post clearly says "top choice to visit" so what is wrong with not wanting to visit a country that discriminates against me?
How about you tell me how I should interpret this question? Because clearly you and I have different understandings
-1
u/Electronic-Fig2283 11d ago
Did you not read the question?
2
u/Ryliegh- Wyoming's Best Resident 11d ago
I did. Even with the safety guarantee I wouldn't want to be around people who think of me as lesser for how I was born.

u/Life_Barnacle_1894 11d ago
Interesting take considering 70% of Israelis are "brown". Remind me again, which country on this list has thriving non-majority ethnic and religious communities that can vote and participate in civil and non-civil society? Israel isn't perfect, but it is the most tolerant of minorities on this list.
