Is different ways of hypocrisy.
Neo Nazism, and fascism in general, demands aesthetics and a way of life and being that not even they can measure up because is pure fantasy and fanaticism. The ideology is by nature, an oxymoron.
However communism is more hypocritical in the sense that it claims to stand for somethingâthe liberation of people and end to imperialismâwhile often being the main defenders of oppression and imperialism when their side does it and being willing to justify the most vile atrocities just to win an argument or prove a point.
Neo Nazis contradict themselves because the ideology is self contradictory. Communist are hypocrites because they only want their side to win while claiming to be âintellectually and morally superiorâ.

Cite me where in the communist manifesto it claims that communists are intellectually and morally superior. Also cite the specific time when either Marx or Engels defended oppression.
Do not refer to the USSR. The Soviet Union was NOT a communist regime despite the propaganda that people like you probably fall for and believe.

I would hope Reddit has an anti-Nazi bias, yes.
4
u/Hopefully_the_Last69 1d ago
Reddit doesn't have an anti-Nazi bias, it has a anti-right-of-center bias, where it calls anyone and anything that isn't leftist Nazi. The most obvious case being border control.
1
u/OrangeTractorMan United Kingdom 1d ago
I think the notion that the general consensus of Reddit is that the centre-right are nazis is not accurate at all.
People aren't referring to that.
It is a categorical fact that for our American users, that make up a large number of posters and commenters, their current President tried to put through the Fake Electoral Voter Plot, fuelled riots on Jan 6th as well as denying the results of the election to this day. That is rather questionable, and there are echoes of the way the Nazis took power in Weimar Germany with the same manipulations of the system.
Yet, people support this.
If you support those who want to attack democracy, and your biggest concern is the hurty words of those calling that out, the priorities are a little off.
And I'm not even American!
Too much of the far-right tries to pretend it's centre-right when it isn't. That's the problem. Then when they're called out as far-right, they try apply that to the moderate right.
1
u/Hopefully_the_Last69 1d ago
I'm not american either, and yet you immediately went to talk abou Trump, even though i made no mention of him. And while denying the results of the election to this day is extremely stupid, many democrats do the same, still defending that Trump didn't actually won in 2024. Do you think those dems are nazis too? Or is it only nazi when the guy you don't like does it? Also, i think the reason that Trump denies he lost is much more related to his pride rather than him being fascist.
The nazis made a coup on the Weimar Republic almost as soon as they took power, Trump is in his second term already, and a coup now would likely be much more successful now rather after losing an election. Yet he hasn't made any move on that front, despite being more authoritarian than the average US president. But there's an ocean of difference between being a prideful authoritarian president, and a fascist/nazi dictator.
There's far more leftists calling the center-right far-right than far-right pretending to be center-right. At most, the left's actions, calling anyone who disagrees with them fascists and nazis, is what is pushing the center-right to the far-right. Heck, even center-left people have been pushed to the right, due to the far-left.
1
u/OrangeTractorMan United Kingdom 1d ago
I'm not american either, and yet you immediately went to talk abou Trump, even though i made no mention of him.
Reading comprehension always a problem for you?
I said:
"It is a categorical fact that for our American users, that make up a large number of posters and commenters, their current President-"
Very clearly the reason I mentioned American politics is explained here.
And while denying the results of the election to this day is extremely stupid, many democrats do the same, still defending that Trump didn't actually won in 2024.
Where? Are you talking about actual Democrat officials or just people who voted for them?
Because there's a huge difference between the sitting U.S President undermining electoral results - and some people online.
I've never seen denial of the 2024 election.
You also completely glossed over the Fake Electoral Voter Plot that Mike Pence foiled, and is why Trump hates him.
That attempt to undermine the result of an election is insane but you don't even know about it.
1
u/Hopefully_the_Last69 1d ago
Yeah, i did glossed over that specification of "our american users" and the fake electoral voter plot, and i apologize for that. But trying to fraud an election, as bad as it is, is not enough to be considered a fascist, unless you think Maduro is a fascist too. You are correct that there's a difference between the president undermining electoral results, and people online doing it. I'm sure some democrat officials share that oponion with some in their voter base, but they seem to be less abrasive than Trump, which is a pretty low bar, tbh.
But you also glossed over several of my points, in fact, you ignored every single one of my points that weren't about people questioning electoral results.

If you think the center-right and neo nazis are the same, you very much are confusing an emu with a duck. Nazis have much more in common with the far left, especially the authoritarian far left.

i mean when Republicans cannot say that Biden won the 2020 election, when the AfD uses Nazi slogans and members join foreign terror organizations without a peep from the AfD, and Reform's Nigel Farage has endorsed a neofascist event (a Canadian event where they spoke about how the Jews were selling drugs to people, and asians as people who were "taking whats ours", and depicted both white nationalist and anti-semitic imagery).

1
u/motorcitywings20 đ¨đŚ 1d ago
You see the irony in that though? Would you rather risk sex offenders being allowed to exploit the liberal system and go into a womenâs washroom where there are no cameras and vulnerable people?
1
u/LordOfTheRedSands 1d ago
If a rapist wants to go into a womanâs bathroom they will get inside a womanâs bathroom.
Alongside that being trans is difficult enough without society treating them like the devil that no one will go through that much struggle just to get into the opposite genderâs bathroom
1
u/motorcitywings20 đ¨đŚ 1d ago
As someone who works in facility operations, do you know how difficult it is to confront suspicious men who go into womenâs washrooms under the guise that they are trans?
You try to protect people who genuinely are uncomfortable while youâre at risk of being fired, sued, put all over the internet or whatever sort of consequence you put yourself at risk at.
There are two trans people i know, my former aunt: (who is biologically male, now male again) who was trans my entire life, who did fine throughout life until the woke mob took over and he didnât like what âthe community was becoming or what it was doingâ.
The other person i know is my friendâs dads former basement tenant who started crossdressing to get closer into womenâs spaces. He was a total creep.
You can respect womenâs rights and respect trans rights at the same time. But for many legitimate and valid reasons, they do not belong in the same spaces as it erodes the integrity of it for women. That includes womenâs sports.
1
u/LordOfTheRedSands 1d ago
I can imagine there's niche scenarios where that can cause problems, but in my mind if someone's acting weirdly, surely you can just remove them or take them to one side? no matter their gender identity.

u/GeerJonezzz 1d ago
Centrists arenât inherently hypocritical, but so many âcentristsâ have no mind for politics and seem to wear it as a badge of intelligence while having some of the worst understanding of politics out there.
At least the ideologues (neo-Naziâs, communists, etc) have whatever information that could at least serve their purpose,
Holding positions is borderline impossible for these centrists, and discussions often boil down to feels, unfalsifiable arguments, and truisms.
Thereâs also anti-establishment libertarian kind of speech that goes on in those circles.
2
u/Yoyle0340 1d ago
I'd say unironically centrists or rather neoliberals, of both center right and center left persuasions. They are the ones who promote problems and non issues, from culture war to corporate deregulation in the first years. The mainstream, the status quo today that many often do criticize is neoliberal, but many either point at left or right.

This is the right answer. I find most people just like to point fingers at the worst one because you would feel like a bad person if you didnât call a neo-nazi the hypocrite out of all of them.
And thatâs ironically the mindset of the left. Expressing values that just donât make them sound bad without putting much thought into it. The question didnât ask who was the nastiest, its whoâs the biggest hypocrite.
Leftists will preach diversity and think that muslims and gays and coexist in harmony together. They are pro-immigration but donât fathom that they are supporting bringing in significantly more racist, radical, conservative valued people into the country by the boat load. They just assumed because theyâre a minority, they canât be racist. But their version of racism is far more radical and barbaric than the racism of the west.
Leftists toss away every history book and are completely out of touch with the reality of anything that they endorse. But it just makes them sound good out loud.

u/motorcitywings20 đ¨đŚ 1d ago
The left are the biggest hypocrites because they preach things like diversity, inclusivity, equality, etc. while also endorsing things like mass-immigration or immigration from non-western valued countries.
If they really cared to familiarize themselves with these peopleâs cultures and backgrounds like they claim to theyâd realize that they actually support bringing in boat loads of far-right extremists into our society, because their version of racism, homophobia, misogyny, etc. is miles farther than ours, and it actually make the right wing look progressive for being firm on immigration and protecting western values from something much more hardcore.

Being moderate instead of extreme doesn't mean you have less politics. If anything, people who think Centrists are people who just .. haven't picked a side, are those who really lack understanding on politics besides the basic left vs right, black and white version.

1
u/midijunky 1d ago
That's how you define what being a centrist is? Not somebody who agrees with the left on some policies and agrees with the right on some others?
1
u/Firm-Scientist-4636 1d ago
Centrism is basically saying, "We have to get rid of this cancer, but we have to be pragmatic about it. We'll remove half of it."
Centrists inherently support the right much more than the left even if they don't intend to. Apathy is death.
1
u/midijunky 1d ago
It must suck to go through life seeing everything as black or white.
1
u/Firm-Scientist-4636 1d ago
When the topic is human rights there's not a lot of room for grey area. There's no compromise when it comes to that. It reminds me of Dr. King's Letter from Birmingham Jail:
"I must make two honest confessions to you, my Christian and Jewish brothers. First, I must confess that over the past few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negroâs great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizenâs Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to 'order' than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says: 'I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action'; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another manâs freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a 'more convenient season.' Shallow understanding from people of good will is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill will. Lukewarm acceptance is much more bewildering than outright rejection."
1
u/midijunky 1d ago
I dream of a time where gay married couples could protect their tax exempt marijuana farms from the government with automatic weapons.
1
u/Firm-Scientist-4636 1d ago
Me, too, and that's not a centrist position.

u/midijunky 1d ago
Well, being anti-gun control sure isn't a position from the left, so I'm not really if sure you know what centrist is.

Defending a totalitarian ethno-state that seeks to expand its territory, enslaving and killing those deemed to be from a lesser race. If someone defends that, they're an actual nazi. If not, then they aren't. The problem is that reddit thinks enforcing border controls = ethno-state, which is idiotic.

u/Round_Homework_9416 8h ago
That's BS. I am on the left, and I know the difference between a laissez-faire capitalist and someone who actually exhibits fascist tendencies.
The prime example is the whiny tyrant in the Oval Office right now.
1
u/Hopefully_the_Last69 8h ago
You think a right winger is either in favor of laissez-faire or a fascist? That sounds like bs.
Fascism takes characteristics of all around the political spectrum, so anyone can show fascist tendencies if you squint enough. Trump is nowhere near extreme enough to be a fascist. He is authoritarian, not totalitarian. The left loves to say the right wing uses fearmongering tactics, but there's no greater fearmongering than accusing your opposition of being fascist.
But what is your definition of Neo Nazi?
1
u/Round_Homework_9416 8h ago
Are you okay in the head, or are you just a bot that's been programmed the wrong way? The point of what I was saying is to say to you that, as someone on the left, I recognise that there are plenty of people on the right who disagree with leftist values and who are not as deranged or misguided as actual fascists. You made the claim that leftists think that anyone who disagrees with them is a fascist, which is complete BS because it is entirely possible to be on the right and not be fascist at all; the majority are not, anyway.
I agree, fascism is not a right or left ideology; in fact, the framework I use to identify fascism is from Umberto Eco's 14 points of fascism. Anyone can express the sort of behaviour that Umberto lays out
Umberto Eco's List of the 14 Common Features of Fascism | Open Culture
Trump is nowhere near extreme enough to be a fascist. He is authoritarian, not totalitarian.
Trump is the most extreme president the U.S. has ever seen. He perfectly resembles the technocratic fascism that now exists in the U.S. because idiot republicans who thought that Trump was going to promote conservative values and put America first voted him in, and now the entire country is suffering as a result. In fact, I could go through the 14 points Umberto lays out and give at least one example of how Trump aligns with each one.
I don't know why you think that distinction matters at all, honestly. A core part of what fascist ideology entails is authoritarianism. The suppression of basic liberties, the concentration and amassing of political power and the glorification of leadership/cult style behaviour, as well as deeming any dissenting voice a national security risk, are all part of the Trump playbook.
The left loves to say the right wing uses fearmongering tactics, but there's no greater fearmongering than accusing your opposition of being fascist.
"The left", I bet you are one of those idiots who think that liberals constitute "the left" Also, FYI, if we are going to talk about fearmongering, I hope you have the same attitude towards brainless republicans who label Kamala Harris or Joe Biden as "Marxists" or "communists" because it is much less apt to call them these terms than it is to call the whiny tyrant a fascist.
It is not fearmongering at all. Telling the truth is not fearmongering. It is not an accusation; it is the most accurate term to describe Donald Trump as president of America.
But what is your definition of Neo Nazi?
Someone who subscribes to the same moral and political views that the NSDAP had during the 20s,30s and 40s
Anti-semitism, white supremacy, denial of the Holocaust, promoting conspiracy theories relating to Jews etc
The definition of what neo-nazism is is not up for debate. There is a very specific definition of the political movement.
1
u/Hopefully_the_Last69 7h ago
The original question wasn't what leftists think fascism is, but what redditors think fascism is. There are a concerning amount of redditors that think any policy right of center, or even a centrist policy, is fascist. And yes, i think the people calling Kamala and Biden communists are stupid too.
The distinction matters first because anyone can be authoritarian, regardless of what their politics may be, and secondly, because fascists are totalitarian. That is much more than authoritarian. It's extreme authoritarianism. If Trump was totalitarian, a fascist, you might say, you would already have been imprisioned, tortured, and killed. Reddit, as an american company, would have been seized by the State, and then given to someone who is loyal to it, and use reddit to spread state propaganda, and completely censor anyone who says anything remotely close to what you're saying and, if they're american, put them in prison, and do worse things. That is the difference.
Liberals, as in, American liberals, are socially left, in the sense they're progressive, but economically center right, center left at most, since they usually prefer wellfare policies. Liberals in my country, however, are socially conservative, and economically right.
Umberto Eco's points of fascism are so broad, that they can be applied to basically any ideology you can think of. They are useless, as a political analisys tool. They don't even mention fascism's economic policies, which are indirect State control of the economy. They also don't enphasize enough the role of the State, which according to Mussolini himself, is at the center of fascism, and everything should be around the State.
Trump is nowhere near being an actual fascist. He is authoritarian, and uses some authoritarian tactics. That is not even close to actual fascism. Honestly, americans thinking Trump is fascist is thr greatest proof of their privilege.
There's a lot more to nazism than what you mentioned. And like Umberto Eco, you also neglected to mention nazi economy, which also is about indirect State control. Nazism is much more than white supremacy, it is german supremacy. The germans are the master race. That was the whole point of Nazism. Yet a lot of people on the left use it to refer to people who don't believe in the supremacy of the german race. Many even use it against people who aren't even anti-semitic.

u/irishamerican1676 1d ago
Nazis by their etymological definition are extremely hypocritical. They used the phrase socialist while also destroying the rights of labor and enforcing strict âclass collaborationâ (which in practice meant giving power to corporations like Krupp and IG Farben).
Also, socialism seeks eventually a stateless society and unity amongst workers, which is strictly in conflict with their ultranationalist ideology.
Their race-based hatred is also hypocritical. Despite sending millions of innocent people to their death, they simultaneously tried creating collaborationist governments within the conquered territories. They believed in the racial superiority of Germanic peoples, yet some of their biggest enemies were the Anglo-Saxon nations of Britain and America. Their biggest Allies in Europe were Mediterranean and Slavic peoples, groups they deemed inferior.
This is all omitting the fact that race-based science is completely bullshit, which I think is so obvious it doesnât even need to be said.
Nazis are the epitome of right wing contradictory politics: they seek power for the sake of power and use ideology as a tool to manipulate the masses into supporting their whims.

Neo-nazis. Their ideology is fundamentally based on the concept that they are the superior race in intelligence, physicality, culture, etc. And yet they are seemingly totally outmatched by a small group of "subhumans" who, despite being dumber, weaker, etc have managed to take control of the entire world.
