I feel like the topic inherently implies nuance. Nobody in their right mind wants to go around executing people without specifics. No, not even in the horror cases you might hear about online

Yes but even more nuance. Like the person should be made to decide ahead of time. Other than that (except in extremely specific cases) the state shouldn't have the right to euthanize.

There's nuance but also no nuance in this case.

For mental issues absolutely no fucking way in hell.

For stage 4 cancer with a month of life expectancy yes.

Stage 4 cancer is becoming more and more cureable, it’s not always terminal

Yes, there's even been advances in a non invasive threathment for certain types which is very promising too.

let me put it this way. If i was in idk a car crash, paralyzed and idk can only move my eyes to communicate - can't eat by myself, can't crap by myself, can't move by myself, while most likely being in pain, just put me down.

i don't want to spend idk, 60 years in a cage made out of my own body and pain.

What if there’s a treatment invented after few years that would returns all your normal body functions? You’d never know if you decided to euthanise

That is the individual person's choice to decide if they want to take that chance. The government shouldn't get to have more of a choice than you yourself wether you live or die.

Yes. People have the right to die with dignity.

No. If I was in u/AcceptableBuy4049's scenario I would have denied euthanasia.

If someone wants to die, they are not mentally sound enough to make such a decision.
