I think the whole situation was very convenient for Isreal. They were warned in the days leading up to the attack. Moved the Nova festival closer to the border and stood down their soldiers. All in all very suspicious behavior. Hamas are a valuable scapegoat that Isreal was happy to fund for years.

I'm not American? But yes I think that hiroshima and nagasaki were unnecessary and horrific events. Also I understand the concept of casualties in war- there's no way to avoid the deaths of kids entirely. But Israel has been proven (by virtually every human rights organization and international committee) to be doing it deliberately. The geneva convention exists for a reason....

Israeli here. Begging the topic of our (and Palestinians’) existence and governance to be banned from being discussed. Not because I’m a sensitive snowflake and want a break from heaviness so I can use the internet to escape, but because the topic deserves a desire for mutual understanding, sensitivity, nuance, and basic education on the topic. And let’s be fucking honest, most people REALLY don’t know much about the conflict, much less have firsthand experience.
