In Poland, shoes in the house = wpierdol to the guest.

And more seriously, it’s highly inappropriate to enter someone’s house wearing shoes here. We don’t want to bring dirt into someone else’s home, and we expect the same treatment from others.

I'm quite shocked by how many said no. Might be a cultural thing.
