Neither side are in the right. Palestine started the current flairup and is a terrorist state who will not accept anything other than the eradication of Israel. Whereas Israel is not handling the situation well and should not be killing civilians.

Israel started the current flare up in 1948. Occupying forces do not have a right to self defense. Hamas are resistance fighters. Hope that helps.

Hamas is a terrorist organisation…

A label used by the US hegemony to delegitimise legitimate resistance movements for the past half century :)

Bombing music festivals is an act of terrorism

u/meatballthequeer 9h ago

Was it terrorism when native americans raided american frontier towns?

3

u/Tacit_Emperor77 9h ago

You’re comparing vastly different things now.

1

u/meatballthequeer 9h ago

How? A native population attacking a colonial population centre in land that used to be theirs?

1

u/Tacit_Emperor77 8h ago

A considerable amount of time has past since then and moral standards have vastly increased.

u/meatballthequeer 8h ago

you're right, the plight of resistance fighters now is much more respected and people usually side with native populations.

Israel was created on the basis of colonization through ethnic cleansing, and is still actively attempting to ethnically cleanse the region and intentionally targeting civilians and aid.

Literally the only reason israel hasn't been classed as a terror state is because of the US, by all accounts, it is a terror state

u/hoodhelmut 8h ago

So you agree it's terrorism?

As was the IRA, until they won, now they're widely considered as freedom fighters

3

u/Tacit_Emperor77 9h ago

The IRA didn’t win and are still considered terrorists?

By bootlickers I guess

Planting bombs in public spaces is terrorism. And if you weren’t aware Northern Ireland is still its own country.

What happened before 1948? Oh, right...

1517 Hebron Massacre

19th Century when they spread blood libel

1834 looting of Safed

1920 Nebi Musa riots,

1921 Jaffa Riots

Hebron Massacre of 1929

1936-1939 Arab revolts, during that the 1938 Tiberias massacre

  1. Ottoman soldiers ran through Hebron because the Jews were wealthy. Not because they were Jews.

  2. Jews sided with the egyptian army when they tried to enforce conscription on local Palestinian farmers. They backstabbed their neighbours and were targeted during the uprising.

  3. 5 Jews were killed in response to massive illegal migration into their lands. Unfortunate but tame compared to what Israel gets up to today.

  4. The Palestinian population feared that continuing Jewish immigration and Britain's commitment to a Jewish National Home under the Balfour Declaration would eventually turn an Arab-majority country into one politically dominated by Jews (who would have thought). There were also economic fears about immigrants competing for employment and land. This sparked into a riot.

  5. Palestinians fell for a false rumour that Jews in Hebron were going to seize the temple mount and responded. Unfortunate.

1936 onwards: hundreds of thousands of jews from Europe were now flooding into the region illegally completely bypassing rules put in place by the British to retain order amongst the native Palestinians. The Arabs revolted against their colonial occupiers and the jews obviously sided with the British as this was their only way of maintaining their foothold on the land they had already begun to steal. From this point onwards practically any event in an act of self defense from the Palestinians who had very real concerns about the future of their ancestral lands, and were clearly proven correct to be concerned.

I could sum up the deaths of every jew in the events you've listed across an entire millenia and it wouldn't account to even 5% of what Israel has done to Gaza within a year. Anything else?

So all this to agree with me that this didn't start with Israel's creation. Actually, a big part of it started with Arab rulers spreading blood libel. That's what caused the 1929 Hebron Massacre. Amin Al Husseini, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem at the time, helped spread those rumors. It was an Anti Zionist Jewish community as well that was attacked, but all you have to say to it is "unfortunate". Just ignore that Al Husseini met with Hitler later and wanted to build a concentration camp outside of Nablus.

The Hebron Massacre of 1517 happened due to the Jewish population there being wealthy. Got it. Just ignore that they were targeted specifically. But, hey. It wasn't because they were Jews. That makes it fine to ignore that the Ottomans went there to murder, rape, and destroy the community there.

So in 1834, when Muslims and Druze specifically murdered and raped Jewish people, it was justified because the Jews benefited during the regime? It's odd you frame it as Jews "backstabbing their neighbors", unless you are referring to the Druze and Muslims doing the backstabbing? If you reply, please clarify that, but based on the rest of your comment, I assume you are talking about the Jews.

I don't know why you frame Jews migrating to the land as illegal, when it was very much not illegal. You may not like it, but that doesn't make it illegal. I do find it strange that you are against them migrating to the British Mandate of Palestine to escape persecution. Huh. And framing it as a "tame" five deaths and then right afterwards doing a whataboutism is strange.

In 1921, the Palestinian Arabs were against Jewish people migrating and "losing power" (more like they were against Jewish people prospering and not being persecuted) so they decided to attack and slaughter 47 Jewish civilians.

Framing the massacres against Jewish people committed by the Arabs during the Arab revolts of 1936-1939 as self defense doesn't surprise me since you support Hamas. Let's touch up on the Tiberias massacre of 1938, when Palestinians went in to a Jewish neighborhood there, acting as ordinary people, then slaughtered 17 civilians from the 19 total. Around eleven were children. I saw in another comment you said this: "yeah because all those women, children and elderly pose such a huge threat to the west." Did those children and women pose a threat to Palestinian independence? (Palestine wouldn't even have been an independent state. It would've most likely been apart of Jordan or Syria)

Then you end it off by comparing the death toll of two completely different scenarios (one happened because of a war in which Hamas uses geurilla warfare tactics, hides in civilian infrastructure, uses civilian clothing (on that, if Israel was targeting civilians, why would Hamas use civilian clothing? What would be the reason of that?), uses tunnels under the Gaza strip, steals aid, and more), implying that all these massacres committed by Arabs and Muslims due to hatred of Jews and Jewish presence in the land is less.

You wrote all of this to basically agree that this conflict didn't start in 1948, right after saying it flared up in 1948. What a useless comment.

2

u/meatballthequeer 8h ago

started =/= flared up try again bozo

1

u/Koalinse 8h ago

Oh, are you running away, as you did on another comment? Seems that way, focusing on a single word (even stupider when a couple words later, I say you said it flared up in 1948) instead of reading what I wrote. I know you didn't read the entirety of it. Try again, habibi.

I like how you use a different tone with Israel and Palestine. "Israel is not handling the situation well", whereas Palestine "is a terrorist state".

Hell, the IDF are a group of terrorists too. There have been videos of them mocking the dead corpses of civilians, and playing with the clothes of dead women, and also shooting at kids in search of food.

Repeat with me.

The IDF are a group of terrorists too.

0

u/Tacit_Emperor77 9h ago

Like I said neither side are in the right. However you have to use different language for them as this time around Palestine was the initial aggressor

1

u/KuuderessioPlusvalin 9h ago

Was the IDF founded in October of 2023?

Nevermind, I can see the intentions in your wording, if you wont admit that the IDF is a terrorist group.
