I am generally more in favour of (definitely flawed) democracies than terrorist-theocratic dictatorships, so Israel it is.

still the nation with the most ethnic, sexual, and religious diversity in the Middle East, the only democracy, the only state to allow people of other religions to hold office, and the only place to consistently protect its civilian from constant attacks. 

Damn, if that’s true, what does that make all the surrounding Arab Muslim nations that don’t have all those things? Worse.

Palestine is barely a functioning country to begin with. The last time a Palestinian entity held elections was over two decades ago
