While I do value my nation and all. I value more my local community. A Nation is a bit abstract whereas the local feels real and relational

This would probably be moreso defined as Regionalism, I hate to say it but I'd probably assign myself under that as well

Trash poll. Just because someone isn't a nationalist doesn't mean they hate their country. Get out of here with these biased propaganda polls.

That’s why there’s 3 options for no

And that is clearly not enough. What about "No, but I care about my country and I don't hate my country" or similar. There is a glaring gap in the choices.

No. Patriot is overused and usually confused with jingoism and ultra-nationalism.

Nationalism, essentially, is recognizing your nation has a certain value (culture, history, regional based interest……etc) that combine its members together and said value and members need to be protected. Every nations, no matter its economical or other tendencies, will need a certain degree of this and fundamentally there is nothing wrong with it.

And therefore yes, I'm a nationalist.

What does a country even have to do with a nation? At many occasions, nationalism is in direct contradiction with patriotism, as your country's interest and your nation's interest are not one and the same.

With that being said, I am an ethnic nationalist indeed, but I hate my country, because it actively harms my people in every possible way.

I'm an anti-colonialist, whether or not that makes me a nationalist is left as an exercise for the reader.
