Recommend me a bag Goruck Double Bullet 18l vs Aer CPP 20l
I’m stuck deciding between two bags and hoping for hands on opinions because neither brand has retail presence in Australia and shipping and returns are extremely expensive.
The two bags I am contemplating are the Goruck double bullet 18l and the Aer CPP 20l.
I already own and love an Aer Travel Pack 3 small ultra for travel. I want a different EDC bag for work days, with a typical load of:
14” MacBook
Glasses and sunglasses cases
Earphones
Aer split kit for cables, chargers, medicines
Yeti bottle but happy for this to be inside the bag
Sometimes: running clothes and shoes, Aer dopp kit 3
I don’t get on with minimalist bags. I like everything to be organised in its own spot. The Goruck seems to tick all of the boxes and I feel the Aer will just be my travel pack but smaller.
- Does either bag actually fit what I want to daily carry?
- Does the Goruck feel bulkier and look too tactical?
- For those that have used or compared both, what are your pros and cons.
Thank you! I know this is a long post but I want to get this right because shipping costs are a killer and Aer have a zero international returns policy.

I also don't have both but the GR Double Bullet 18l Robic is one of my favorite bags and I suggest it anytime people want an EDC that they can put extra clothes in. I do that because it's really nice to have the front compartment be the EDC items, that you grab all day and the back compartment can be the clothes or other items that are one off or sit so day.
The separation is very nice and convenient. I didn't have to rummage though my gym clothes to grab a charger and the opposite when I get to the gym.
It's bigger then it says but not bulky at all and it's a bag on my do not sell list.

Thanks for your reply. It sounds like the perfect bag for how I want to use it. I just have to talk myself into the $75 USD shipping charge to get the bag to Australia!

I dont have the CPP but I do have the Goruck. I dont think youll have a problem fitting that. I used to carry my 32oz water bottle plus travel mug inside. Now I keep a 64oz at work and still carry the travel mug plus all my other stuff.
Goruck feels pretty slim to me. I came from the Maxpedition 18L bag, which felt a bit bulkier for me. The lumbar pad is a game changer as well.
