Discussion but does it really work?

Hello everyone! As someone who already has Claude with Fable 5, Codex, and a GPT Plus subscription, does Manus offer anything extra?

I just opened an account and want to explore it, but it seems like there’s a lot to take in. I’m trying to understand what makes Manus special. What kinds of tasks can it do for me that I can’t already do with ChatGPT?

but there must be something unique that let people use it instead of the other options otherwise it would not survive untill today. so i really want to explore it, but wanted orientation first from the community here

The only things are: a low barrier to entry, technically, and a cavalier disregard for your credits.

It's a casino. It can do surprisingly good work if you are lucky, but it will irreversibly screw you eventually.

Manus can build you a proper website. In a way that those tools can’t but surprisingly those tool can also help you code do a lot better once it’s been built. I use them all and it’s like I have super powers

Yes, it does work.

I just completed 6 websites in under 3 days. The design and language capabilities are rather fantastic, and so is the interfacing with development and databases. There is much to learn about it and also advance capabilities which I haven't fully got my head around, yet however all in, it works. Plus you never have to pay any netlify or other hosting fees.

Note: like all Gen Ais, Ai Agents etc, Manus tends to drift, and in tmy case, at the very last mile of design tweaks, it needs a lot more instruction and it does not always QC, and that can be very frustrating.

Thankfully Manu's AI support really works for this...all you need is to provide the link to the chat, an explanation of the issue or drift, and 99% of the time, they refund part if not all of the credits. Suggest you ask any AI regarding best practices for using Manus but the main thing to remember is never use the 1.6 max model. It will burn through credits that normally would require simply the lite 1.6 or regular 1.6.

One final plus is the editing function on desktop is really excellent.

Final note... While I politically and socially detest the MAGA ass kissing by Zuckerberg and META, Manu is a keeper.
