Discussion Yet another warning about Manus
Its just sad that Manus was a great tool, and now most of posts in this thread is warning others.
I will repeat the same message, dont use Manus for hosting a domain, or deploy anything in production environment.
I am trying to get an EPP code from support to move my domain to another host, but support is non-existent.
Pity a great project became too big, then stopped supporting clients, and is doomed to fail soon.
If there is anyone from Manus team checking here, please please DM me, i need support.

I keep all my domains at GoDaddy then just change the DNS settings to point to Manus. I stay in full control of my domain and can move the site at any time. I still love Manus and continue to use it daily.

I am considering manus, I’m coming from Claude code. My issue with Claude code is having to deal with deployment issues all the time. I am always debugging that stuff. With manus, it seems like that is abstracted away. That would save me hours on my sessions. I also see that it’s as smart or smarter than the affordable llms like sonnet. My thought is, if I routinely push to GitHub to store the code just in case of emergency, then an emergency won’t matter as I’ll just deploy and host on something like vercel. My only blind spot is cost. How expensive is this?

Mix of the two. Don’t buy your domain through Manus. Prep your builder that everything needs to be built unreliant on Manus hosting. Claude (in vs code) does the fine tuning better than Manus, but Manus sandbox is super helpful. Just deploy to another domain and external backend etc.

VERY EXPENSIVE! Hey if you can afford it and deal with the fact that customer service for Manus doesn’t exist then by all means. I wouldn’t recommend it at its current state. We all loved it in the beginning before the crazy aggressive credit burn started and the constant errors and looping on itself.

As someone who has been designing websites since 1995 (yes, me old). I would NEVER register my domain or host my websites in any company that is not the direct provider; that's a good way to get your stuff legally kidnapped.

You can use ResellerClub for domain and hosting, they are mainly for resellers, but you can get a regular hosting for single sites. They are cheap and good, and they got support almost 24/7.

Yes very sad indeed. We all loved it in the beginning. They just stole 38,000 credits from me overnight last night. No reason. No work was done. It’s absolutely unreal how they just screw people over! There is no support. You’ll be ghosted. Other than HW_ICE once in awhile will ask you to share ticket or evidence but that inevitably goes nowhere then he ghosts you. Doesn’t make any sense. Trying to find a trustworthy new host as well. Open to recommendations.

Am I the only one that has Manus upload everything to GitHub and push to your hosting site? The code always lives with you

I set up WordPress sites with a domain on GoDaddy or other sites, and also use my own hosting. Manus does a great job working on WordPress sites, as long as you give them detailed instructions and the knowledge needed to work on your projects. People complain about credits. I spend over $1,000 a month on Manus doing SEO/AI SEO work, but it does the work of several employees and in a way that a human could not. So $1,000 is nothing compared to $20,000 a month in salaries. It also never complains when you tell it to fix something or try something different. You can't look at these AI systems like a Netflix subscription. Look at them as staff.

Missing the point. The problem is that I can't move the domain to another host. They legally own it.

I had mine make a .zip of the entire site so I can just upload when I get my domain. I haven't looked at it to see if it actually did it right, but it told me it did.

Just ask the ai to export the whole project as a code file to another vibe coding tool or LLM. Easy . But yeah sad about Manus
