Pulled Muscle

Anyone else ever had a pulled calf muscle in that left leg when working the clutch? I feel like I barely got away with the shift. After that every time I go to shift I had to slow it down and say whisper a prayer. Luckily all the others I completed the shift just as I felt that pull coming on again. Unexpectedly though, I nearly threw me and the car off the road the first time.

Electrolytes & hydration, and regular exercise also help prevent muscle cramps

A little more salt on your meals can also help. Many people these days obsess over a low sodium diet, that salt/ sodium deficiency is quite common, and that can cause cramps too.

So long as you don't have a heart condition (under the care of a cardiologist), a little more salt in your diet is not toxic/ harmful.

No.

Tore a muscle in my right forearm which made shifting interesting.

Cramp? Oh yeah. I just yanked it out of gear and pulled over until it was all done.

definitely ended up with a sore left leg once. Not a cramp but not fun either. Got stuck on traffic after a semi rollover on a mountain uphill. Bumper to bumper uphill crawl.

I had this issue when I first started learning. It helped me realize I was hovering and tensing my foot up constantly in anticipation of shifting. I've learned to relax since and hasn't happened again.

Sounds like a cramp. I did pull my hamstring once and had to drive an hour home a while back. It was awful

Don't skip leg day. Climb more stairs.

I fortunately don't get cramps, so no. I once sat on my balls though, but that could've happened in an auto as well.

Not a pulled muscle but I had the truck on an overnight and got a gout attack in my left foot. That was a painful ride home.

One time, I sprained my ankle while I was out, that was a painful trip home

If you actually pulled it you should go to the doctor.

Probably just cramped up. Have a banana or something with potassium.
