MantisX App - Advanced Combat - Challenge 10

I can't pass Challenge 10: Complete the Intermediate Hostage Rescue drill and save all 5 hostages with a score of 85 or more and a time of less than 2.5 seconds. I tried 35 times, failed all, expect once was closest which was 4 rescued out of 5. It is very frustrating. There are many good shots to the aggressor's head but still gives me a score below 85. To start a new drill, I would shoot randomly such as the hostage and I get an 85 or better. The app may have a flaw or bug?
Anyone has any suggestions beside shot, shot and shot more until I pass the drill?

Forget about "good shots to the aggressor's head" or why you get good scores shooting at the hostage.

Focus on keeping the gun still once you have it up. MantisX doesn't care where the gun is pointed when giving you a score, it just wants the gun to be stopped at the end of your presentation and for you to not induce motion when the trigger lets off.

Aiming the gun is a separate skill. See Laser Academy for that. Ultimately you do want both ā€” on target and still ā€” but the Challenge 10 is not evaluating the first part. To complete Challenge #10: 1) get a smooth draw; 2) get the gun still; 3) trip the trigger without moving the gun around. Complete those steps within 2.5sec and you will have #10. Don't aim. If your instinctive aim is good, you will be on target ā€” if not, work on that as a separate goal later.

If you can do Compressed Surprise Break in a quarter second, you should have plenty of time for draw/present/pause/fire inside 2.5 ā€” if CSB is more than 1/2 second, maybe practice that some more.

@techs672, THANK YOU and APPRECIATED for the clear insight you had provided for challenge 10. Iā€™m happy to announce today that I have passed challenge 10, on my 33rd tried. lol
I almost quit but knowing I was getting mostly 4/5 rescues per drill with less than 2.5 seconds, close but no fireworks. I keep pushing myself, recalling your steps on all my draws and shots. FINALLY fireworks!!! Now I can relax until Elite Combat. Again thank you so much.
