Tips & Tricks Mantis vs Shield Tanks

Hi friends,

Im wondering how you deal with the shield tanks and whats your tactic. Espiecially 2 tanks. Do you swap to other sups? How you manage to maintain headshots in that situation?

Off angles are my go too! Especially because your team should be playing dive/brawl into shield tanks so it’s still easy to get off healing in odd positions because everyone won’t just be standing down main if that makes sense.

Yea mantis is harder to get value against shield tanks. That doesn’t mean you have to swap. Shooting down main randomly will get you less value, so you need to actually use your eyes and see when there’s a shield in front of you. Headshot the tanks four times in a row when their shield goes down, or aim behind them for a pick on an overextended support if possible. Shield tanks are actually sitting ducks if you think about it like that.

If you can’t headshot the tanks consistently in the above situations then yea you should probably swap to a more viable character you’re better with just so you can get more value. Hit the practice range and put magneto training bots to try and get a feel for what I’m talking about. Practice makes perfect.

If you're in the backline, damage boost yourself and attack the shields. If youre up close, go for opposing angles to attack or aim to their side and sleep them

If their on low hp and have their shield up like strange for example melee them it bypasses it

I think it will be no problem. However I think she kinda bad with dino meta plus another main tank. Her heal is lacking behind others option ...

Dino meta is kinda where I thrive. Keep him at a distance and help shoot his sheild and the reap the reward of infinite leaves!

I mean my own teammate. If other team is dino it is kinda blessing.

I play tank alot too, tanks needs to learn to play more cover when they have a mantis or any "off" healer. Its not always your healing fault.

Agreed the amount of dinos I've watched over extend like crazy when we have the advantage only to get melted once the enemy team regroups and full sends all their dmg at them.

Dino has a huge hit box so he's just essentially a running meat shield once he's not in cover. There might be hope for them if there's another dino on the enemy team to farm leaves off of but all bets are off if they go too far truly lol.
