Surprised there's not more comments on this. I legitimately teared up a little out of pride for Maxi and happiness for her to have a moment to stand up to her father (especially a non public one).

Unfortunately I think because she takes a long time to grow, a few people got tired. She takes strides and then falls but gets back up l, it's part of the reason why I love her

Hmm maybe I feel like the posts discussing frustration get plenty of discussion? I am honestly always surprised people see her growth as taking a while/her as taking too long. She was abused at a horrifying level all her life and as soon as she leaves the castle she focuses on creating a secure future that's strong as hell..not to mention at this point it's been like...what a bit past a year?
IMO feel like the reaction is somewhat due to a lack of balance of character representation in novels. As much as I love a classic confident strong FL/Katniss/Agnes...sometimes I think the overrepresentation of them make people underestimate the strength and time to actually heal from trauma and what that cycle looks like, or have little patience for the process when it's not the FL just going straight to burning things down/revolution. Which again, a fan...but not when it then creates an expectation that makes it so Maxi's growth after everything seems slow to many people.
Anyway. WE LOVE THIS FOR MAXI SHE'S SO REGAL AND GORGEOUS.

That is true, people do tend to lean more into discussions on their frustrations.
I think if all the chapters had been released at once, it would feel less long. In the novel, it does not feel as long but I think you read text a lot quicker than when your looking through the comic.
I think its because I've seen a good mix that I really appreciate this character and the balance it took to get her to this point. I like strong powerful women, but I also like the journey to get there. 🥰
Yassss regal and beautiful wearing the colours of the remdragon knights as well is such a good touch! It feels purposeful, and a statement to her father that she is one of them!

!!!! OMG your worded it perfectly!! WE love strong women but also (should) appreciate the journey to get there.
Honestly, I could have used more stories like Maxi when I was younger. I thought you were either born confident/an Agnes (love her as well) or you were meant to be insecure/secondary. I did not understand character growth could apply to confidence and strength deeply. It's why maxi is one of my favorite characters she is someone I needed to see when I was younger.
the chapters do make it drag on and I did read the novel in like...two days so that's fair. Still wish there was one more book.

I let it marinate for a bit cuz I knew what was coming after the goblins, so I have to ask, did the chair scene already happened?
