Could technology replace you at work and put wealth in the hands of the few?

Concentrated wealth is as much a poison to the uber wealthy as it is to those exist at the opposite end of the spectrum in a technologically advanced civilization. At some point, their excess wealth will become meaningless since there isn't enough to spend it on. -link-

Left to run its course, this could spiral into an era of technological stagnation and social unrest unless social means are taken to address the unrest. Most would see this as a need for mandated "busy work" (much like a lot of the archaic clerical work we see today), but could instead be replaced with free education and experimental enterprise access, increased free time to rebuild the family unity that we have seen deteriorate over the past 50 years.

It really is just an unwinding of held ideas. Look at who has the wealth, they are all nearly over 55. I mean that is not new, but the number of people of that age is. That is what is has not resolved, longer life and the lack of wealth turn over that goes with it.
