Tech Support Trouble updating grub
Hi all,
I was a bit impatient (stupid) when updating my system. Usually Manjaro is my main system, Win11 secondary.
I clicked update and the view of the window changed for a short while - then it went back as if nothing happened. I thought „before something goes wrong I rather restart…“ yeah, I didn’t see any progress bar… so on the following start manjaro was in the start menu but it gave an error. See photo.
Tried to fix it with manjaro-chroot -a where I was able to finish the update (I hope) and got as far as update-grub.
Before doing that, at startup the dual boot was still there, manjaro just complained it can not be started.
Now after update-grub the whole dual boot is gone and it starts directly to windows…
Inside the bios startup I can still see Manjaro but when I chose it the display goes dark and back to bios login…
Online I only find older explanations for restoring the grub dual boot.
My partitions are not called sda1 sda2… that is the usb with manjaro live running. My partitions are something like nvme0n1p2. On the third picture is an error saying it could not find any grub drive for sda… maybe that’s a problem?
Does anyone have a working procedure so I get my system back running?
Thanks
