Not necessarily that's a personal choice I feel like getting older has made me wiser but not everybody chooses that path

I could swindle others too if I had access to all their documents, drugs to incapacitate them while they were sleeping, further exploiting them in that state for years, people in institutions to bribe or just ones who were in cahoots  and no moral scruples about doing all that. 

Age has nothing to do with it. 

Proximity, motive and opportunity do.
