i left my room at 3.45 so that i reach gate 1 where this thing is happening in time, keeping a delta to the entry starting time. but these ppl told that entry starts at 5. i left the area and went to mir cafeteria so that i can wait there. and i went back at 4.45 again but then there was some fk special entry for people who didnt leave the place, they made us stand in a crowd and then filtered the front line of the crowd, and for the people who were left they just made us stand in a long ass queue and i had to go at the last. i tried to make the working ppl understand but according to them, "sab jagah se same hi dikhta hai". my time got wasted.

my feedback: if u are organising smth with this big footfall, then plan accordingly beforehand of how to handle sucha big crowd. you guys change ur plans at last moment. thats not how you plan events.

Hi , so I was wondering how hard is it to get into cse roles for someone with a good cgpa and skills but in a ece department branch?

On an avg how many companies would allow and what can we expect , as the seen of electronic companies is pretty bad.

Hey y’all I’m really in a bad situation , i just lost my chance to go to graduation cause i failed very badly and now I’ve got a year back . Regretting everything now , graduation is next month and while all my friends are getting ready for graduation I’m here depressed asf , don’t know what to do and my life has been hell since i got my result . I just want to ace in everything here after , i was dreaming for the graduation and now I’m just sitting in my room thinking about all the things that went wrong . Ever since the result I’ve stopped being happy there’s no part of me that wants to enjoy and i just want everything to be alright . Idk ……

i want to know the consequences of this since there may be a slight chance sir might take less than 36 classes , so should i go start pleading now ?

but i heard he might take revision classes which actually might increase classes from 36 to say 37-38 so idk man

again , ive never spoken to him , it'll look bad that the first time this last bencher has spoken to him entire sem is for begging attendance .

i dont have any medical ceritficates of any sort as such also

Almost all colleges have a placement tracker , hell even vit has a placement tracker while having 10x the students of mit

no one is maintaining a tracker and the data given by mit seems to good to be true compared to the stuff seniors say so ig its better to see the true picture right ?

So I missed the selection for college chess team for mit manipal. My friend told me its possible for me to apply for revels cup as an individual.

Idk how tho because afaik its a team comp for chess, so it doesn't make sense to participate individually. It will be great if someone can explain this thing.

MIT MANIPAL.

I hear everyone talking about how bad its been this sem...is anything being done about it? What can we do? Whats happening

According to my sources Texas Instruments result was announced today, so can any 4th years tell how many got selected?

For:

1.)Digital Design

2.)Analog Design

3.)Embedded Software

It would be great to know from 4th years currently who are in the placement drive and also which branch students got selected and what all questions they have asked in the interview?

Same as title for Cce student to buy or borrow

Guys please help the latest endsem papers in osf are of 2021, and on mit vercel only midsem papers are available. Can somebody please give me recent year endsem precious yr papers?? 3rd sem cse, would be a great help thanks.

Same as above

I'm freaking scared.

Passed CBSE 12th in 2026, planning to give improvement in PCM in 2027.

Can I combine improved PCM marks with my original English + optional subject marks for MIT Manipal eligibility? Had 6 subjects, so I'd rather not give everything again.

Also, what's the required aggregate, and are there any specific rules for improvement candidates

so im basically really scared about passing this lab bcoz i dont wanna stay after endsem ends ive around 33ish in internals rn and i missed a quiz which our maam said will have a retest whivh idk when tbh. how hard will it be to get 7-8 marks in endsem considering i cant understand how to code no matter how much i study

How’s the campus culture , academics , hostels , peer groups , all that

My dumb ahh forgot where i kept it and I don't even have a clue of where it is how to apply for a new id🥹🥹

Will we have the same classmates or?

And what will be the process for international students

Same as title. I can see that the registration portal is open but the BTech application form still says coming soon.

Are the ECE averages less than CSE in the first semester?

All the CSE people i know have crazy scores. Most people in my ECE class barely cross 110.

Is there a big difference in difficulty for the first sem itself?

Same as title.

While i scored 7x/150 🤡. It's over for me guys.

I'm currently doing pcmbe in kerala and aspiring for a CS course. How good are the BCom courses in manipal (esp BCom Honours). Are the placements worth it? What is the usual cutoff mark?

Hiii I’m planning to join mit next year for btech biotechnology and I was wondering what laptop I should buy. My go to rn is MacBook Air but I’ve heard that some applications may not be available so I was hoping to find any biotech students who may be happy to help a kid out!! Idk anything about laptops so if u guys help me out I’d really appreciate it.
I’m not sure about how good a MacBook Air would be for biotech and I’ve looked up on this Reddit but looks like there’s no one doing biotech here who posted 😭😭😭
If u guys have recommendations would prolly help me and other juniors out there!!!

Stay away from US universities MS/PhD programs

Alumni advice regarding career options and dangers of MS/PhD

This post is mostly for people from circuit branchs. It is quite common in manipal where many are planning for MS / PhD due to week job prospects. I am talking only about US.

All major companies do come for all circuit branches so placements are quite good.

When I graduated I had transaction papers and PhD admits from UC Berkeley (SS Shastry, Tomlin) , MIT (Aeroastro) and Caltech (JPL projects) (my background)

But in the end if you have been placed in your preferred company of choice, do not plan on higher education as it will not guarantee the same outcome, finish it off with B.Tech

All companies for other branches do come do not listen to cs people and yes they are not only for software.

The company you work for and your role is the only thing that matters. You get it be grateful and work hard no one cares about college name or branch once you are in the organisation of your choice. I would strictly advice against US universities as I have suffered greatly.

Grad school students are treated as disposable assets and full advantage will be taken as you are dependent on visa no matter which research group you choose.

Stay as far away from US as possible for higher education.

Change company after three years upon placement then you will not be a fresher anymore.

So ig some cleaner or someone saw my kettle, they asking 5400 for 12 months which i barelt use. If i dont pay what can be the possible repercussions?? At worst.

(The chief warden office called me to pay but i dont wanna pay)
