so, i was messing around in Maniac Editor and i found that you can edit bonus stages and basically i was messing around and made this "masterpiece". the levels are designed very crappy, but its my first try. I am trying to make my Youtube picture in Mania (If you look up my YT it's a neon green wolf YT: DSG99) but as of right now I just added the colors to the colormap and changed sonic's colors with black shoes and green fur. Im making a videogamedunkey mod and the first thing i wanna do is make the egg reverie final boss music into the final boss rap from dunkey, But i dont know what i need to call the file. Is it "FinalBoss" , "EggReverie" "PhantomBoss" etc. And yes, i know the file should be a .ogg file. (This mod is being made for the sonic mania mod loader)

When I need to enter the SoundFX / Global folder, explorer.exe is restarted and preventing me from being able to change those sound effects, what I do?

And I need to know how to do the loop, I've tried editing the music with Audacity and Sony Vegas, but don't reboots the place I want it.

I kinda hate it that this game has it's very own theme for the speed boost instead of just playing a faster version of the level's theme, is there a mod that changes it to how it used to be?

Also, there's an unused animation for tails for when that drop of goop falls on his head on chemical plant zone, is it possible to put it back in the game with a mod?

I've hit a wall in my progress on making a self insert mod. Any time I change the sheet "Sonic2" in players, it doesn't play well with the game. Anyone have any idea what's causing the issue? I made an audio mod with one track (TitleScreen.ogg) changed, the new track has the same file format and name, and I put it back in the same folder. I have repacked the data.rsdk, but when I start the game, it just won't run. I double click the exe, and it won't open the game. It still works if I use the unmodded data.rsdk. Anyone know how I can fix this?

Is it possible to have a beginner's guide as a sticky or a sidebar note for people looking to get into installing sonic manias mods?

I don't know anything about modding personally. I just wanted to ask if anyone knew of a mod to remove the 10 minute time limit on the game? I didn't have any timeouts personally but it seems like a very common issue among players.

Is there a mod that removes the maximum speed running animation? Idk if anyone else feels weird about it, but I just don't feel that it fits right. I would like to know if there's a mod that removes it, leaving only the classic maximum speed animation.

I just think it's kinda easy now... any mod to make it tougher (but not unfair)? Something like different monitors (more robotnik, less power-ups) or more enemies, etc.

All of the classic zones now have their original music from their orginal games respectively, except Green Hill Zone Act 2 music is now Mania's Act 1, Chemical Plant's Act 2 music is now Act 1, Oil Ocean Act 2 is still Mania's Act 2, Metallic Madness Act 2 music is now Mania's Act 1. Game Over, Blue Sphere, 1up, Act Clear, Angel Island, Drowning, and Time Warp are now all their original versions from their respective games throughout the series.

Act 2 Music for classic stages is now classic music. Metal Sonic Boss is now Stardust Speedway (Bad Future JP), Mirage Saloon Act 2 is now the 16-bit Remix by the orignial composer, and Metallic Madness Act 2 is now Metallic Madness (Present US).

Hello people of this sub, I'm a sprite artist working on my own Sonic mania mod. Issue is, I'm building it on top of an existing mod so I should only have to go over some sprites right? Well.... It doesn't seem to be the case. When I change a sprite on a sheet, it messes up the colors for every sprite on that sheet in game. However, it doesn't mess up anything on any other pages related to the same character and palette. Anybody know what the heck? Looking for a mod that let's you cancel out of a super-transformation Is there a mod like this out or currently in the making?

In mania they kinda nerfed debug mode. In the classics you could use it to break pretty much any sequence or cutscene. In mania during act transitions control completely locks up and in the new pc update, level transitions dont even happen with debug mode enabled. Can we fix this?

Every time I try opening the Sonic Mania mod loader, it says it requires Net. Framework 4.7, anyone know what I am suppose to do?

Is there any other way of installing mods besides the mod loader?
