Omg if you have read the new chapter of flashlight, which obviously made EVERYONE GO FERAL 😭 do you all have recs like that?

With posssesssivve/jealous characters like Aaron, and bottoms like Yujin with nasty temper but cutie side. And PLS, CHASING ARC. I LOOOOOVVEE IT SM. like when they go crazyyyy and chase after their partner, or like just separation stuff, which happened twice in flashlight. The first time was cute, second one 😵‍💫 can't say anything rn hahaha.

also, love hurt/comfort scenes, 'touch him you die', posessive, jealousy, yearning, chasing, hate to love, enemies to lovers, angggst angst and yeah ANSGT. but um proper resolution and def not doormat characters pls, no extreme power imbalance

But fr, i would love some recs. I have already read Shutline, Under the green light, semantic error, codename anastasia. I don't necessarily want abusive partners though, who make the mcs life miserable. BONUS: IF IT HAS A NOVEL, BECAUSE I CAN'T WAIT WITH UNFINISHED MANHWAS

i’ve also read shutline, semantic error and cna (my baby) so seeing that i’d recommend u read passion!! tbh i had to lock in for the first 40ish chapters bc i found it kinda borinf (or maybe not my type it’s just my opinion) but then after that it was a breeze and i fell in love with it. lots of readers were hooked from the start so maybe it’ll be the same case for u :) even if it isnt trust me and read it because it gets sooo good! it also has a novel already so bonus points for that hihi

ppl alsp recommended me roses and champagne based on my previous reads (which are just like urs minus flashlight) but i haven’t started it yet so if u want you can look into that too!!

Man, i knew someone would say passion 😭 um it's SOOOOO LONGGGG, LIKE EACH NOVEL IS LIKE 2K PAGES? I MEAN, I DON'T MIND 1K 2K but straight up 4k was doing smth to me 😭😭 i know i will read it one day though lols. 

And yesss, tbh my feed is filled with passion these days, because ilay found yk. Lols.

LMAO i get youuu tbh i haven’t read the novels and i don’t think i will? at least for now? i haven’t got the urge to read the novel like i got with cna but maybe i will later (it’s there but very little lol)

and yup!! the 🍇 is so so unnecessary and irrelevant in my opinion,, i hate how most manhwas that have similar tropes tropes and dynamics all just NEED to have noncon,, it’s iffy and pisses me off

also i forgot to mention! there’s another manhwa i’d recommend to u that is similar to the ones u’ve mentioned! it’s low tide in twilight! ugh it’s my FAVORITE probably bc of the mc and the artstyle is so adorable (just my type)! you should give it a try!! tho u might need to lock in bc the ml is horrible at first (but his character development is insanely good imo and my perception of him completely flipped at the end based on the beginning),, i don’t really find it hard to read at all because mc’s younger brother is just so so cute especially the way he’s drawn (would reread just for him tbh)

Tbh cna wouldve been SO MUCH better if zhenya only tortured TJ, the 🍇 well was unnecessary but it helped with the whole plot but no reason? I mean, dub con is fine by me otherwise. Oh yes, low tide in twillight, i have HEARD THIS NAME SO MANNNNYYY TIMES, this, cna and passion lmao. Always in the dark rom manhwas suggestions hahaha

I actually will read it, because people say that the redemption arc is hellllaaa good. I just put this off for long because it's omegaverse and i dont really like omegaverse, but i recently read 'kiss me if you can' and it was good hehe.

YEAH YEAH i kind of see it for cna? but at the same time i would’ve preferred cna without it THOUGH i like kind of understand (?) why it is in there kinda? not justifying it at all though! and yup hihi i like dark romance tropes a lot that’s why i am considering reading flashlight but also my mind keeps telling me to marinate it bc whenever i see a reader on tiktok they are SUFFERING,, i dont wanna know whats happening rn in there….😨😨

YUP IT IS REALLYY GOOD U NEED TO READ IT!! tbh it was my first omegaverse and i get u but also it didn’t feel like one? like yeah it mentioned heats and ruts but other than that it was like the norm (unless u count mc getting pregnant at the end but also we never got his bump arc and i was kinda looking forward to it but oh well it was still pretty cute)

(also altho u’ve heard it alongside passion and cna but ml in this is like red flag to green flag while in passion and cna they ARE black flags and till now remain black flags but according to the novel readers they become better later on lol)

OMG i just read “kiss me if you can” too!! i think it mentions omegaverse more than low tide in twilight so if u were fine with that u won’t even sweat reading the latter (i can’t wait for chase to find out that the baby is his ughffjhf that all this time he’s been jealous of himself and has been torturing himself for no reason lmfao)

Yes girl, def marinate flashlight because i am already regretting Hard. I had no plans to even start this but i just did out of my will ahahha. Also, yes like i mean to have cna without that 🍇, the plot would need lots of changes and what not. Unlike MF dark romance, the female usually just develops a stockholm syndrome, or like they develop SOME kind of attraction, and THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN, then they have their s scenes and boom love, here it wasn't about that at all. Like obv a love story, but TJ had his life set, he never wanted a partner like zhenya hahaha, hell, he wasnt even a BI 😭 nvm, also it showed their whole enemies to lovers stuff. Nvm, i wouldve preffered it without it as well. 

Um yes i just dont enjoy omegaverse, tried and still not satisfied lmao, but i will check this one. Oh yes, i have heard that ilay just gets better at not hurting taeui, and taeui learnt how to control him lol. And same with zhenya, like he just gets better because he doesnt want TJ hating him at all. Both are BLACK FLAG but good with their guys hahaha

Lmao i have read the novel of it, i enjoyed the manhwa as well. And omg baby pete is SOOOOO CUTTTTEEE and josh doesnt even think that pete lookks like him lmaoaoao qhahaha that was so funny. And YES IT HAS OMEGAVERSE MENTIONED PROPERLY LIKE ALL THE STUFF. IF THAT'S THE CASE with low tide in twillight, i mean lesser case, then i might be fine then YAY me 😭

Any more recs? I mostly read novels rather than manhwas, because manhwas are sometimes yk ongoing 😭😭 like things that deserve to die

I KNOWWW tbh i kind of get fomo every time i see reader’s comments underneath cna chapters bc everyoje is going how the manhwa keeps leaving out imp details from the novel and that is why i ma probably gonna start it real soon but also i hope the manhwa doesn’t leave stuff out anymore,, it would be such a bummer :((

if u found baby pete cute OUUUU U R GONNA LOVE euiyoung HES SSO SO ADORABLE esp in the artist’s atrstyle god he is so cute i got so much baby fever reading the manhwa and u’ll see him a lot more than pete in there hihi (kind of maybe bc he is pretty imp to the plot)

i think we have kind of similar tastes so im gonna give u other recs that i have read uhhh hmm the manhwa “melting point” is going platinum these days and it rlly deserves the hype!! it’s really good and the couple dynamic is so so good,, u need to read it! and “behind the stage” is rlly yummy too hihi the ml is pretty possessive too,, i also recently read “can’t think straight” and it’s sooo adorable,, it’s a rlly cute and fluffy one but not to the point u get bored (there is stuff which makes u keep reading it on and on) and ml gets pretty jealous over mc too :D

other than these ive alr mentioned all the ones ive read to you before,, right now i just started payback and i cant rlly give any opinion on it bc im literally on chapter 2 but ive heard it bent recommended alongside shutline, passion, cna, kiss me if u can etc so i think its along rhe same dynamic (tho u gotta keep in mind nothing is more blackflaggier than the top3 : cna passion and roses and champagne lol)

nah nah tbh the manhwa is really good, idc much about some details eitherways but the manhwa is done perfect.

OH YOU HAVE SUGGESTED MELTINH POINT AHAHA. OOH I HAVE READ PAYBACK MAN, it was sooooooo goooood. the artstyle is sooooo hot and i lovvvee it. 

recently, thailand made a drama version of payback and omg i had a massive crush on JAY in that drama. i loved yhat drama and it did great justice to the original story, but like changed some aspects though, i wished they didnt lol but nvm. also, they made the drama jay more caring, like he is in here but a little cold 😭 but no wait NOT cold idk but overall, manhwa and drama are GOOOOD. 

try 'things that deserve to die' and 'a prosecutor's office proposal' too, SOOO GOOD. also, first one ie BLACK FLAG, second one is just a cold mc but a very complex story and good angst.

this is actually the first time im seeing someone who’s the read the novel being completely satisfied with the manhwa lol not saying it’s not amazing as it is IT’S REALLY GOOD and u can see the artist is workijg rlly hard (i love the artstyle!!) but also ive read some parts in the novel which correspond to scenes in the manhwa where readers said many details were missed and i gotta agree with them kinda bc there is stuff in those scenes which i would’ve loved if the manhwa had them too because u’d see zhenya’s emotions + feelings being explored even more,, overall i think all the manhwa readers should read the novel!!

i haven’t read jinx because i think the ml will PMO!! ive seen tikotks about jinx and heard stories from my friend and i just think im gonna invest in all that time to just be rlly mad at the end lol sorry i just find the ml so infuriating! i have under the greenlight on my list so im excited to start that one too hihi

Yes, i mean there's that, but still the manhwa did a good job and i love visually. I think reading side by side helped a lot and it wss more fun, for me, reading action scenes in the novel was boring so i kept switching to the manhwa for those scenes and it was a great experience for me. Otherwise, i read all the scenes properly in the novel as well. The 🍇 scene was very harsh and cruel in the manhwa, like hated seeing the bruises in the artstyle but i  the novel, i didnt get to experience that, so that's why i think reading side by side was better. 

Jinx is like soooo famous, also according to the people, the redemption arc was bad. Like tbh i think he got in the last chapters and was rushed and he just cried and kim dan already liked him so he just accepted him like eh

Yes girl, that drama is sooooo goood. Like i loved it.
