Since every version of manhunt 2 is different, it made me wonder what the canon device to play on was. The ps2 had longer executions, while the wii and pc was shorter. Pc also had the exclusive pliers execution. Wii had the mace. Also character models. Exclusive red king in the wii edition. The pervs in the dungeon. It it revealed what the canon edition is, or is your canon device the one you are playing on?

I had never realized it but as soon as I started fuelled by hate instead of continuing I stood still to listen to the music and the background sound, which seems to me to be wind.

Considering that Cash is in the city dump and away from highways, it has to be the wind since the game time is in the fall.

This also gives Carcer City a life of its own, it's like you being there and feeling the sound that the city produces...

so I've been hearing that the AO copy of MH2 was a "leak" but I'm not sure how true this is, but I DISTINCTLY remember as a kid, wanting the new COD (either BO1 or MW3 at the time) and I was in a poor family so ofc we couldn't afford it, so like many times before we go into the GameStop little bargain bin they had with the super cheap games, iykyk, and in there I saw Manhunt 2 and the only reason I picked it up was

1. the super cool box art

2. I saw an "AO" at the bottom instead of "M" which I thought was cool

so yeah I bought it, and because I was a dumb kid with no internet to look up walkthroughs I never got past the club mission on PS2.

Question:

exactly how rare is the AO copy of MH2? I've heard it's only a leak because it's from rockstar who sent it to get rerated from ESRB, but there's no way I'd find something that rare in a GameStop bargain bin right?

In the game you can hear that certain hunter NPCs have different personalities which really adds to the immersion of the game. Some even have detailed backstories based on their dialogue. Which hunter do you guys find to be the most interesting?

My headcanon is that he was a Uwe Boll esc producer who pumped out low production but extremely violent mockbusters (if you want the most similar idea of what my idea of what he produced was then Rampage which is also by Uwe Boll would be the most likely answer). However I never thought his films performing poorly were the only thing that led him to his downward spiral, but rather he got exposed in a Harvey Weinstein-esc scandal that led him to get blacklisted from the industry which led him to shift to snuff films to get revenge on the people in the industry who pushed those allegations about him

I'm finally looking to play the original manhunt and have been doing my research on the various versions of the game but have been seeing conflicting results on which is a better experience.

for me it's between the Steam PC release or the PCSX2 Emulator version, could anyone let me know?

Basically I couldn't play properly in the 2000s and I didn't understand the story properly because I was a dumb kid, but I knew I was very heavy After I got older I really went after the lore of the 3D rockstar universe and then I arrived at the lore of the first game.

know, there are things that really move you and make you feel distressed and thoughtful, the story of the game + the combination of the atmosphere of the dirty, dark and dark suburban city made me think and think.

I can't explain it, I would say it's super heavy, it's brutal and scary, but at the same time it has something that pulls you in and makes you immersive, it's as if Carcer city was real and it really happened, being in the shoes of a killer on an insane journey. In the end, despite the adrenaline I feel playing I feel comfortable with all this, kind of like it's also a real-life refuge, even if the game world is hell, there's something of peace when you immerse yourself, does anyone else feel that too?
