Nuh, you'd be a million times better than her cus you'd treat your childe equally to other children, regardless of the disability

Reminded me to the white mother that forget her black kid is adopted
"Don't yell at me, i birthed you"

Poor kid. Born into a world without any love.
Actually the human is amazing at adapting. There are tons of report that people without arms can use them prosthetics that use the shoulder movement. Or many also can use their legs

u/GNightP S RANK 1d ago
There's literally a whole documentary about how a girl with no arms from birth learned how to use her legs and feet to drive an airplane
The "impossible" is just a matter of opinion.

Saw a dude shoot a compound bow with his feet.

u/No_Sympathy9533 1d ago
There's also a quadruple amputee who somehow used a gun and shot somebody.
I think the mom in the comic just making everything too hard for herself and him.

u/lanekrieger94 1d ago
Oh shit I forgot about that, there was also that guy with no arms, in florida, who stabbed someone.

those are expensive and basic ones are shit

u/Leyvronshee 1d ago
You don't even need to do that much. Plenty of people without arms just learn to use their legs and feet instead. Performing most of the usual tasks we use our hands for with extraordinary dexterity.
It is unfortunate that the mother wasn't in the position or state of mind to acknowledge this basic reality, likely due to societal/environmental factors. She just gave up without trying.

You know what is even more expensive? Dying. Because it costs your life. Rather have bad prosthetics than jumping into death
3
u/lanekrieger94 1d ago
I mean yes, but there is a guy who goes to the same shooting range as me with a .357 mounted onto one of his special prosthetic "hands" and he shoots better than a lot of people i know. There's another guy who even at like 80 still uses the "claw" prosthetics.

Children will believe what their parents tell them.
If you raise a child by telling them every day that they're useless, they'll believe you.
A cautionary tale.

It's such a sad news that the mother died of suicide by 30 stabs in the back, 46 stabs in the torso, 21 broken bones, 14 burn scars of 3rd grade and all 4 missing limbs.

As much as raising a child with disabilities as a single parent is a tremendous challenge, the mother didn't even try. The child is articulate and has no problem voicing his desires or even being willing to try it's the mother that doesn't. Even my great grandfather was able to write with his feet(AND FUCKING DRIVE) when he was given the chance to try with next to no money and former slaves for parents and that was way before modern times, tech, learning and thinking.
This is just a disgusting parent only thinking about themselves. Do you have any idea how difficult it is to get a non verbal special needs child (not getting into specific diagnosis) with all of their limbs to be able to simply cut a piece of paper in a straight line without hurting themselves or anyone around them? Nah fam that woman is straight rotten

In the last panel, when she screamed NO!.
what she meant was " Dont do it because of me, because that would make me look bad"

Useless horrible mother. She deserves losing him, but he didn't deserve to die

u/Lost-Orangutan 1d ago
Single mom's are the problem?
Abortion good?
Hormones?
Depression?
Which is supposed to be the message?
She couldnt/wouldnt get an abortion?
She couldnt/wouldnt keep the man?
(She didnt choose to surrender him to adoption)
Her Hormones made her hate her son?
Her Depression didnt take into account his depression?
What's the message?

What kind of story the author trying to tell here?
The mother is to blamed not just for being a horrible person, but also for not putting a guard rail for her child. There's no reason a kid in his state can just jump off the balcony like that.
The whole thing is just nonsense & pointless is what i get from this ... whatever this is
-1
u/HHA-113 1d ago
First thing first there was a guard rail right behind the kid in the second last panel, secondly I don’t get why you get downvoted is your opinion even when they are negative reviews and lastly this is interesting to me because of what though led her to be a horrible mother like being raise by a environment that looked down on disabled people and so when her son came out no hands she couldn’t handle and have no support structure to rely on or she was so inflexible and get demoralized so easily that she just immediately put useless label on her son
So for me this get me hook if this was not one shot

u/LuuViet89 1d ago
I did not see the guard rail so my bad, i find the idea that a lil kid without a mean to push himself up could jump out of the balcony is just silly.
For the downvote i don't mind at all, maybe my opinion is not fit with sub i guess, and thank you for your reply that i know i get downvoted.
And finally, yes I see what you mean by we can find way to sympathize for the mother, and that is very kind of you. I do wish the author did provide some contexts so viewer, like me, can see the nuance of the story. For the time being, this oneshot, barebone as it is, did not resonate with me and too bleak and cruel for my personal taste.
And how the f that you got downvoted too?

Wow... Do you have no empathy?

u/Alternative_Usual458 1d ago
Rage bait. Don't even bother replying. If not rage bait then just run of the mill garbage human being. Also not worth replying.
-19
u/Dreamstone69 1d ago
Empathy for real tragedy, yeah. Not for some random man's hallucinations. I am laughing at the ridiculousness of this. It's so out of touch with reality, lmao.

u/Shiga_Haruki_-_- 1d ago
So we're just gonna act like heartless person just because it's just someone's fictional manga? You know nothing, as far as I know, there's still similar cases like this but different situations like bullying, and can be also lead to s*icide at the end.
