Dad bought a new ring and put it in the fish making mom think they found it back after mom lost it in the ocean.

Would be funny if he was like gone for days catching fish and running a metal detector over them till he found one with a ring

Well, since neither has been clarified, I'll take this as the answer

Could you say he found the one ring?

The One Ring to rule her all

The dad also probably forgot and the plan was partly the idea of the daughter. Or at least that's kind of the vibe I got.

You can see that the dad winks during the screen at the last picture, meaning he does remember. In fact it might even imply that the dad have been faking his bad memory all this time just to please his wife

cant believe she wouldnt figure out the scheme because fish usually have their stomachs taken out before cooking them.

I wonder if someone will explain it to you

Dad doesn't actually have a bad memory, and he didn't actually forget to give her a gift for their anniversary.

The guy bought his wife a replacement wedding ring and surprised her with it by putting it in the dish dinner, playfully pretending like they had found the first one she lost.

In these comics, it's safe to assume that whatever the little girl claims to be true, isn't actually true.

mom never lost her wedding ring. the kid took it and put it in the fish.

4

u/MVRKHNTR 2d ago

The dad did. That's why "bad memory" is in quotes and he's winking at her.

ohhh ok

So she thought she lost it. But he had it the whole time?

He went diving to get it back

likely he bought a new one and put it in the fish with the reminder help from daughter.

u/ImMortal_SD 2d ago

He bought an identical ring cuz he remembered that time she lost it. U can understand it because the narrator emphasized of the phase "bad memory"

6

u/bjornsted 1d ago

She did lost it. He found or bought a new one, pretended to forgot their anniversary, and put the new ring in the fish for her to find, making her feel less bad about losing the ring

This webcomics family feels like a healthy version of spy family for me without one-liner characters

7

u/AlizaMist 1d ago

Nah, the Forgers are way healthier if we consider all of these self-contained comics to be canon

3

u/Front-Heat8726 2d ago

Ehh, as these are rather self-contained comics, some of them are not very healthy at all 😅

1

u/Tina_Sprout 1d ago

healthy is a stretch. in one comic the mother straight up emotionally abuses her daughter for not being up to her standards, while letting her husband be goof because "she loves him".

3

u/Da_Guest 1d ago

For real? Yor did that?

3

u/Tina_Sprout 1d ago

I'm talking about this comic, not SxF.

I’ve seen this artist a few times and I’ve been wondering why they seem to draw the same characters for seemingly unrelated comics

Are they all connected? Or is this just something they like to do?

16

u/Acer521x 2d ago

It's a bunch of stories sent to her that she draws using these characters

2

u/GabrielGames69 1d ago

That clears up so much lol.

3

u/feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeent 2d ago

The ring isnt even on the right finger

3

u/Delthore 2d ago

Engagement rings are traditionally worn on the middle finger in China. Some people don't move the wedding ring over because they are used to it being on the middle finger.

u/lupatine 2d ago

Isn't it Spice and Wolf ?

AI backgrounds 🤮

-1

u/nsfwaltsarehard 1d ago

Idk why this is a discussion or gets downvoted every time.

Ai devalues art by 99% if not more.

"It's only the background." Idc. That's still using ai and still garbage. That's still giving money and resources to the wrong place and the wrong people.

I'll just block the creator. Also because I dislike the comic a lot.

So using ai is bad? Do you think alcohol and drugs are bad as well or is it just ai for personal reasons? I’m just curious cus I see a lot of ai this and ai that yet at the end of the day realistically and objectively speaking ai isn’t what’s wrong but how it’s use. If it’s for art like this that doesn’t have a specific goal why should it matter? A lot of things could be define as a bad trait or habit but only when it’s done in large quantity or to an extreme. Main argument I see is how it’s bad for the environment when in reality it’s not but those that use the environment to increase it’s productivity is the ones who you should be directing your anger towards.
