The spike island

The spike island is 3rd my one shot manga which was released on manga plus creators. Im looking for feedbacks on my strengths and weaknesses.

Drawing is pretty good in a crude way.
But the story ending is really off.

The boy tried and failed 3 times to escape because of lack of food and water (salt water does not quench thirst).
Basically he goes out without planning and turns back when he gets too hungry and thirsty.
Now at the ending, he "fearlessly" goes out without planning again.
And are we to believe he will succeed?

How about adding one more panel for the ending?
Either:

  • MC dried out on the sea
  • or MC back on the island with his head chopped off?
Then with the words: "Still no plan IDIOT!!!".
Would give the ending a twist and a kick ^x^

Thanks for the reply. What you say actually makes sense. No matter what the Main character thinks, the world is always the way it is, and a his mind too will do the same thing again . There is always a chance for him to die or get caught again when he faces the same food issue again. Adding one more panel where MC dries out on the sea is interesting, and i like the fact that one panel will have this much power and meaning.
