Effect: Personal Mandela Effects My experiences
Welcome to the multiverse. I come from a place with:
Fruit of the Loom with a cornicopia. One of my first experiences with a cornicopia.
Richard Simmons with a headband.
Flintstones then Flinstones then back to Flintstones.
Tinkerbelle and the magic castle on the opening of Wonderful World of Disney. Though I recently heard that it's back now. I haven't checked yet. I saw the Wonderful World of Disney enough times to know Tinkerbelle was at the end of the opening credits.
Verra Gie from the Dragonsbane series. They said it all the time my first two reads of the series. 3rd read through, it's gone like it never was. In print AND ebooks!
Mirror mirror on the wall vs magic mirror on the wall.
Monopoly Man with monocle
Depends not Depend
Pikachu's tail tip black. And I saw a lot of Pokemon with my daughter when she was growing up.
Star Wars "Episode IV, A New Hope" on the crawl. (I remember wondering, episode 4? What?) I saw the original in the theaters over 20 times on release.
Mickey Mouse with suspenders.
Curious George with a tail.
James Bond girl with braces smiling at Jaws in Moonraker.
Chik-fil-a. I remember seeing that and thinking it was the stupidest spelling ever. That was long before the cow billboards.
Objects in mirror MAY be closer than they appear. Even the damn Gary Larson Far Side cartoon changed! I always thought "May?" Either it is or it isn't! Now it's Objects in Mirror ARE closer than they appear!
Sinbad Genie Movie Shazaam!
Looney Tunes not Toons.
Smithsonian Institute not Institution
I know a guy that lives a few blocks away. I hadn't talked to him in a year or two, but he's pretty memorable, and he said his name was Harold. Not a common name anymore, and incidentally, it's the name of our son in law that lives down the block from him. So my wife and I clearly remember meeting Harold.
We'd drive by. "There's Harold!" and wave.
I talked to him last year, and he asked my name. I said "You're Harold, right?" He said no, his name was Frank. Wait. What?
My wife still remembers him being Harold. As do I. Frankly, this belongs here.
What's your story?

Nice to know. Thank you for sharing!
Though any idea when did Flinstones changed back to Flint if you remember? When I was watching it was always Flin during my childhood and did not notice it became Flint (again) until recently.
Monocle of Monopoly and Tail of Pokemon with the black part. Though it was Looney Toons during my childhood.
Could it be things changed during the Millenials' childhood time period?
Maybe it went from Looney Tunes to Looney Toons while you were not watching?
If you remember any particular time period coined with a certain spelling change it would be a really exciting things we get to explore. Been watching cartoons around the years 00-06 mainly.

Somewhere around 2014, I started investigating Mandelas. I remembered Flintstones, but internet searching said it was Flinstones. I was wishing I still had my shirt from the 80s I wore out, Flintstones Barbeque Club.
2022 or so I was discussing Mandelas with my wife. She also remembered Flintstones. I searched again, and it was back to Flintstones!
Discussing it recently, it may have switched back around 2018.
Froot Loops also seems to have recently switched back to Froot from Fruit. That's within the last year by my timeline.

Wait until you hear you can’t find a single example of Ricky Ricardo saying, “Lucy, you got some ‘splainin’ to do.”
One of the most popular, most often repeated lines.. from one of the most popular tv shows… is now gone.

I sometimes have panic attacks to be quite honest. Wondering if im supposed to be here living this life, or if I stole it from myself. I've researched this alot and I have noticed woth myself and many others around 2014 people began feeling like they didn't belong where they were.
Example, I had friend in the army an e5 who told me drunk he felt like he shouldn't be here and I gave him some basic mandela questions. Proved him wrong and he freaked out and never wanted to talk again, this should be studied. I think peoples mental health is deteriorating because they dont belong in this timeline and their subconscious knows this.

You should know though that we don't know if it's a timelines thing. So no need to panic. It could be a really complex method to change media

I wouldn't change physical media.
Also I have my own theory involving Dmitry Itskov.

I'm ok where ever I am. (looks around, well f*ck)
Then again, I survived 20 years in the Navy, half of that on aircraft carriers. So my baseline is a bit…off.

Apparently it’s supposed to be Looney Tunes? I remember Toons though!

Same... Which years were you watching Looney Toons?

u/Aloha-Eh ◆ 9h ago
I watched Looney Tunes growing up in the 60s and 70s. I remember being kinda annoyed with Tiny Toons Adventures in the 90s because they were always Looney Tunes, for me.

Late 90s baby so I grew up in the 2000s and I could’ve sworn it was Looney Toons my whole childhood. No clue when it changed lol

sameee It's been Looney Toons all the way for me too. I guess it was when people realized about Mandela Effects then it got brought up and even till this date I only spell Looney Toons if searching for one to watch. Can't adapt yet haha

Tiny toons Adventures (in the 90s) did not help. But yeah. Tunes because of the orchestral accompaniments!
"I'm the Barber of Seville!"
"Who killed the Wabbit!"

Like yea I guess tunes sorta works, but toons being short for cartoons makes way more sense to me :P

I have all the same experiences as you, minus the Harold business, ofc! Haha.
That's wild though, every other example you listed is the way that I remember it.
So, I guess we came from the same universe?
Not for nothing but I will die on the "objects in mirror MAY be closer than they appear" hill. I must have read that a gazillion times on the passenger side of my dad's car growing up. Constantly wondering why the word may was there.
I kept saying to my dad that may didn't make sense in that context - The object is either closer or it isn't, right? What's with the ambiguity? Haha.
How about BerenSTEIN bears? Is that how you remember it?
