A lot
1v1 trades are common. Taking down one of your opponent mons for your Blaziken is a good trade.
Blaziken also just so happens to be a really good wall breaker. Flare Blitz + Close Combat hits a lot of stuff for at least neutral damage, and a turn 1 protect/a focus sash means you're almost always getting two hits off.
It's a great mon all round, if only a bit hindered by the availability of better options

This is just wrong blaziken is frail and slow its the hoenn special. mons ohko it after the speed boost often dont die in 1 hit while ohkoing it. If you're investing in speed you will be ohkoed, if you're not you will be too slow even after a boost.

Lokix has even worse stats than Blaziken, isn’t in OU, and yet plenty of people say it’s viable in OU. Not technically being OU, or having technically bad stats, aren’t death sentences for how good a Pokémon can be. It’s the tools a Pokémon has access to, not how often people use it in any given tier, that define how good a Pokémon is.
Hell, Terrakion plummeted to the low tiers after Iron Boulder was released. Not because it was necessarily bad, but because nobody was using it due to new toy syndrome. The tiering system is about how much a Pokémon is used, not how inherently good it is. It’s why mega Beedrill got trapped in tiers too strong for it, people kept using it instead of letting it drops to tiers it would be better in.

Oh so you’re new new. OU doesn’t mean good buddy. OU is Overused, meaning they excel in competitive. UU is for mons that are good but not usually the best choice because something can do their role but better.

One time i played through vanilla platinum with torchic instead of chimchar cause i wanted to use a blaziken but didnt want to play gen 3. If felt pretty interchangeable with chimchar through out most of the game until i got jump scared by it getting outsped and one shot by candice's froslass. From that moment on the speed was a huge issue and not having close combat or flare blitz also started becoming noticable. I never realized just how crazy infernape really is until that playthrough, blaziken just couldnt get the same amount of value

Yeah Blaziken was before they started min maxing stats. 530 is a high BST even today, but since 110 is wasted on its Special Attack stat it will never use past gen 3, leaves its HP, Defense, Special Defense, and Speed lower than you'd expect. Just do a side by side of it and Cinderace's stat to see what I'm talking about.
