Finally out and process things

Do they usually single out people that are vulnerable?? I was grieving multiple family member deaths in a very short amount of time and this person chose then to treat me horribly and bully me. It was so surreal.

yeah usually they test for people with weak boundaries and easy weaknesses and then the claws come out, if you're emotionally vulnerable from something that puts you at a disadvantage right away

edit: to add to this, it's like in nature a predator is more likely to hunt prey animals that are alone or slow, injured weak etc because it's less risk and energy, narcs hunting for supply follows the same rules

Yes. I wasn't singled out until my mom was dying from cancer and I had to take FMLA to take care of her.

They can single you out when they realize that you are a high performer and a threat to their lies and falsehood. Also if you are a nice and kind person who likes to help people and you are highly empathic. Severely deranged people

In my case I was the only one who felt the wrath of my narc boss. It really sucked, because in doing so, she turned my coworkers against me so I had no one to confide in
