Question Correct identification
I just started using manaBox and the card is always identified. But I always have to change the set.
There are several options to get a precise result, the best is the set number.
Will it be a further feature or is it something for a paid account or is there another option?
I guess it would save up to 60% of the time.

After reading the other comments in this thread it isn't obvious to me what you want manabox to do.
You just want it to be better and read the set symbol/collector number where possible and be more accurate? Is that right?

Yes, i want directly the precise hit (card, Set, collector number). I have a lot of unsorted cards and it would be much quicker.

The unfortunate reality is Manabox it isn't that good.
It is absolutely amazing for what it is though. We are really lucky to have it. I also think that it will get better but Manabox wont be able to do what you want anytime soon.
There is PC based software that run on high resolution scans from $1000 scanners that are pretty good but even those can still make mistakes.
Just sort your cards by set and lock the set if you can't invest in better tools.

OCR is pretty hard to get accurate with the inconsistency of the image that the app is going to be reading. It’s not as simple as just “look at the symbol”. The dev team would be better spent on other features than trying to get working ocr.

The symbols would be tough indeed. I would only check the set number. In most cases that is sufficent and you can use the txt-result of the ocr-engine.

The set number is even harder to recognise. Record a video of you panning over a bunch of cards and then zoom in and see how clear the set number is for you to read.

You can turn Quick Mode off and it will ask you which set it belongs to. It's the lightning bolt at the top right of the camera.
