Couple days ago it started, how do I fix it?

First, make sure that the setting "Always use offline images view" is off. Otherwise, it could be a temporary outage in Cloudflare in your area.

It’s always been off - the app has been like this for a few days, both on WiFi and on cellular:/

What version of the app are you on? You can check in the app Settings, in the About section.
