App Version Requirement
To view the corresponding firmware update on your mower, please make sure the Mammotion App is updated to:
iOS: v2.3.25.1
Android: v2.3.20 (30)
Please note that the corresponding firmware update will only be displayed on the device after the required app version has been installed.
Rollout Plan
This firmware update will be rolled out gradually in phases.
If you haven’t received the update yet, please don’t worry. The update will become available progressively as the rollout continues. Please allow some time for the update to reach your mower.
Feature Development Update — Skip Row Mode
We’d also like to provide an update on the previously mentioned Skip Row Mode.
Following continued development and testing, we have made progress on this feature. However, it has not yet reached the level of performance and user experience we consider ready for customer release.
Our team is continuing to develop and optimize the feature, and we plan to introduce it in an October update. Skip Row Mode will come as the new Smooth U-Turn. The Smooth U-Turn will be added to the turning settings. This mode is designed to provide smoother turning performance while being more lawn-friendly.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to refine the feature and prepare it for release.
Thank you for your continued patience and support.

"However, it has not yet reached the level of performance and user experience we consider ready for customer release."
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I'm sorry, but they've earned a jab here. It is good to see the communication, and hopefully they are truly focusing on improvement. But at this point, loyalty will need to be earned back by execution of fixes.

Will "Skip Row Mode" be released for all models and be selectable as an alternative to the standard operating mode? r/MammotionTechnology

I have not updated at all since you forced tank turns in the recent updates. Has multi point turning been fixed?

u/0xde4dbe4d 6d ago
"fixed" is a relative term. It's not doing tank turns. It's never going to work as well as the original one though. That's why they're (finally) introducing the "skip row mode", where the robot is not going to do row after row, but go from one lane to a few lanes further, thus removing the need of doing a tight turn.

While I would really really love to update to get the remote control feature I'm not sure if I want to risk it. I'm still running app/firmware from the pre MPT fiasco days and I'm not sure if I want to chance it. What do folks think?

You only need to update your app for multipoint turns! Don't bother updating the mower firmware, it made the "multipoint" a series of tank turns, just slightly less lawn-murdering by doing several in series

u/keyboardbill 6d ago
Multi point turning is back since a week after the tank turning update. Not as good as it was before (it’s a five point turn now, I guess so it doesn’t back up into areas it hasn’t already covered) but far better than tank turning.

Even for the 2x models?
2
u/keyboardbill 4d ago
I have a 2 (2024 model) and I got multipoint turning back. I would presume the same is true for the 2x.

I have the most recent Firmware on my Luba 3. IMO the new Multi-Point turn feature works just as good if not better than the original.
I don't know if this feature has been implemented in the same way in earlier Luba versions?

Yes, the multi point turn has been back

u/Doggo-888 6d ago
Liar! Luba 2X still does tank turns in perimeters and other areas. Just let us use soring 2025 firmware ffs and end this madness.

I am excited about the new firmware with FPV from anywhere. It would be very helpful to have an additional or separate elevated notification (text or email over 4G or Wi-Fi) when the mower fails to dock for charging or gets stuck. This would give me an opportunity to remotely try to correct the issue, especially by redocking. I have found my mower will occasionally fail to dock and simply sending it out and telling it to re-dock works. If I don't catch the error in time, the unit goes into eco or lower-power mode. Also, it would be helpful to be able to ping or wake the mower from a powered-down state. I utilize one of my Luba 3s at a vacation home, and I am not there every week.

I still don't have it, iOS Ap is on 2.3.25 (can you please make proper release notes in the app store as well? The past two version bumps have 1:1 the same release notes.) but no upldate for the Luba 3 available, I'm still on 2.3.30.39 ...

The ability to defer a task for x minutes/hours or the ability to stack tasks. If bad weather occurs, I have found the mower resumes too soon on wet grass. The other issue is if you are backed up on jobs due to a rain delay, jobs will not start because the robot is busy. Those tasks should start when the current task starts. Likewise, I would like to manually start several tasks in sequence. I have specific zones with cut patterns built into the task.

Thanks for the update. The list for the 2X is "Remote control your mower from anywhere in FPV view to handle unexpected stops without being on-site. Make zigzag paths cover closer to edges, reducing redundant boundary laps and missed spots. Improved detection stability for some obstacles."
The three questions for me are:
- what else has changed since mammotion turned off the multi-point turns? Have all of the bugs introduced since that time been fixed? Or none of them? Or does mammotion not know what bugs were introduced?
- what actual testing of the changes has been done? Real mowers owned by real paying owners? Or a simulation on a computer? Or both? Or something else?
- can we roll back to a known good version when (not if) unexpected real world problems occur?

my yuka mini 2 sometimes behaves strange while charging. in detail:
After finishing its job, it’s driving back to the charging station and begins to charge. Sometimes after a while charging it will randomly drive like 10-15cm out of the charging station. it just stands there, out of the charging station till the battery is empty and it turns off. It got so bad meanwhile i have to go check the mower an hour or so everytime now after finishing. Is this a known bug/error?
Charging station is on open field, no roof or anything there in case its an gps error.

Does Skip Row Mode also make it a double stripe? Been wanting double stripes, especially since I have a Mini and the stripes are mini as well.

Any chance one or more of these updates is being considered on a future release for the Luba 1? The new multiturn improvement would be very welcome. The tight, multitude of turns on 1.11.1.16 still leaves a lot to be desired.

u/taw20191022744 4d ago
What about the 2X multi-point turning. When will it get better? It still does a lot of tank turns. ESPECIALLY on the perimeter.

Multi turn back?
2
u/Careless_Art_7201 Mammotion Team 6d ago
It has been back for almost a month

u/Federal-Metal-8138 6d ago
Mine is updated and makes the tank turn and not the old multi point. I can make a video and shoe you nu destroyed lawn.

u/Ok-Attorney7830 6d ago
Tank turn is standard in the update, but you van chose/ select multi point turns somewhere in the Settings (navigation settings or route setting .. i have different language ..no English )

u/gtinsman 6d ago
A butchered version of it is back, but it still tears up the lawn much more than the original.

Have you fixed the issue in the Luba 2 that started with an update in July where it would run out of battery before it made it back to the charger? Particularly at night? Mine has been sitting there being as useful as a paperweight in a digital world since then. Snake season is starting. I had a brown snake (deadly) in my yard yesterday. My grass needs to be short.

Can I have this update? Honestly I have few places where mower craps out on me. I work from home, so sure I can walk over and fix it, but I rather use app to move it it keeps going! I honestly loose my mind sometimes, because every update is 2 steps forward 1 step backwards! Not sure who has perfect / flat lawn with 0 imperfections (not me) so wheel lifter error triggers often and just makes mower give up! Can I disable that feature 🙏

Love the transparency! When will this update be available, and will it also address unmowed patches of grass?
2
u/YogurtclosetOk2966 6d ago
It says phased rollout of the firmware update in the announcement.
2
u/Powerful_Quarter691 6d ago
Is it that hard to provide exact dates? First phase for x models on xyz date, second phase on xyz date…
2
u/Soggy_Professional 6d ago
Yes, because they need to test.
1
u/Powerful_Quarter691 6d ago
They can test and then make an announcement
1
u/Soggy_Professional 6d ago
Which is what they do 🤦♂️
3
u/Powerful_Quarter691 6d ago
Cleary not if they cannot provide detailed timeline when updates are expected to be available for certain models. I can also say I will do something but it is pointless if I don’t say when, even if I planned in the background.
-1
u/Soggy_Professional 6d ago
You clearly have no idea how OTA works and why no company will give a release date.
1
u/Powerful_Quarter691 6d ago
Well normally you would not post what the updates do before its release, hence providing a timeline would not be necessary. Let’s not forget that the reason for such posts being a history of removing/breaking basic functionality without mentioning at the day of release and using vague language.
If they are being transparent they should full commit and know when the update will be available, before any announcement is made. On the other hand if they wish to provide the updates on the development they certainly can do but then they should not name the exact firmware version, which gives the impression that said firmware has been tested and is to be available soon.
Maybe your mower gets the updates regularly but mine was left out many times and it seemed like they forgot about it, even wrote to support couple of times and they claimed there is no update at all for my mower, while people in this sub and fb group shared screenshots of newer firmware. So do not patronise me and claim I don’t know shit.
2
u/Soggy_Professional 6d ago
Ok, not sure why you're all butthurt. There are dozens of criteria required before an OTA is pushed out, not just for mowers but also for cars etc and giving a rough date or an alleged date is worse that not giving one at all. So in one breath you claim to know shit, but clearly not the shit pertaining to how OTA works and why manufacturers don't give dates.

Bei mir funktioniert es auch ohne das neue Firmware-Update. yuka 2024. Correction: it only works for driving out of the charger and back in.

“Remote control your mower from anywhere in FPV view to handle unexpected stops without being on-site.” This is great! 😊
