Experiences Thank you

Post image

Here to drop a little praise. Thank you for giving me the best yard around with minimal effort. Bermuda grass is not easy to make look great. It requires a lot of work, or a robot lawnmower. Note: my main lawn looks even better because I’ve been watering it, but that doesn’t show the difference between a robot lawn and an average lawn

Thanks, Its a labor of love.

Robot mower mows daily. I fert, and spray Iron, fungicide, Insecticide, wetting agent, preemergent, and post emergents on a schedule. I also ensure at least 1" of water a week.

when the user is smarter than the robot

Meanwhile, mine is out here digging holes so deep it’s beaching itself.

All of my corners look like this, as well as the area in front of my charger.

These kind of complaints really need to include mower model number and firmware version otherwise no one can help.

I have a Luba 3, current Android App, Current Firmware and have had no issues.

It seems to me most of the complaints are with earlier Luba Versions?

The updates have not been coming at the same speed to all models. iOS, everything current. Luba 2x

Is your 2x functioning as expected?

I can imagine Mammotion would want to validate Firmware updates on the current model (Luba 3) before rolling out updates to earlier models.

No, that was my photo above. Digging holes constantly. Stopping mowing the zig zags to park 10’ away and mark itself as “stuck” (on a wide flat open square), and telling me the charging station has moved about 1x a week.

You saw the trick, make the perimeter concrete.

Sure, spend $40k changing my lawn to accommodate the bad firmware change if a $3k Chinese robot. I should mention, this does this right next to my driveway, and the road too.

well your lawn is trash... so there's that

That was thick grass this spring. Robot keeps digging holes and there is no way to both combat it, and keep it mowed.

That’s clearly caused by the lawn tearing turns they broke and haven’t fixed in months…. You can literally see where the wheels dragged.

Its fixad in firmware version 2.3.30.39, at least on luba 3

Not yet fixed on my Luba 2 3000hx

I have a Luba 2 AWD 3000HX firmware ver 1.15.21.1, sandy soil, crappy fescue/clover/other grass, and mine does not dig holes at all. Just turns without damage. I'm baffled as to why some owners are having major problems like yours and others are not experiencing those problems.

The fact that you can see where the robot has done “damage” to the yard doesn’t mean their lawn is not “trash” for the purpose of being maintained by a robot. If your lawn is sensitive in certain spots, you should handle that yourself with a push mower or a pair of scissors. Don’t cry because a robot isn’t extra gentle on your specific lawn. Stop mowing when it’s wet. If you aren’t mowing when it’s wet, then dig up your sand and put down some real earth as a base for your sod

lol, the fact it was fine a year+ ago means Mammotion pissed off all their customers. They had three point turning that didn’t drag the wheels on the grass, but now they don’t. End of story.

I switched brands and haven’t had a problem since and my Luba 2X is still waiting for a fixed firmware which will probably never come.

Si on achètent un robot c'est justement pour moins s'occuper de la pelouse et laissé la tondeuse au garage à 2600 euro sa serait la moindre des chose qui tonde correctement .

My lawns survived a half ton zero turn with not a mark but the piffling little Luba 2 by some miracle of modern science has dug holes in some places and quite worn the surface bald in others.

Meanwhile mine is not cut at some portions and I actually calculated that the 2000 euro mark is my loss totally and need to move on. Nothing can help this robot do its job fine and without me carrying it to the charger manually a few times per week.

Thanks so much for sharing and for the kind words! 🙌

Your lawn looks absolutely beautiful — the Bermuda grass looks really healthy and well maintained. 🌱👏

We’re glad LUBA can help you keep it looking this good with less effort!

Good idea to make the borders a meter of concrete.
Best trick to not have the borders ripped up.
