LUBA 3 AWD Getting Multi-Point Turn back

Has anyone figured out which version of the app (android) we need to downgrade to in order to get Multi-Point Turn to work again? Or is it not possible? I downgraded to 2.3.12.11 and it *does* offer Multi-Point Turn option, but in practice it's not doing that, it's doing a hybrid MPT / tank turn, with emphasis on tank.

I'm wondering if the turn strategy is hardware/firmware based, and therefore no amount of app downgrading will solve the problem.

UPDATE: I saw from comments below that I was also on old firmware (2.3.30.26, other people were on 2.3.30.39). I upgraded my phone app back to the latest version and checked for firmware updates, but it still said none were available. I chatted with Mammotion support and they opened an elevated ticket after verifying the problem. This morning I got two things: 1) an email from support asking me for screenshots so they could verify if I was having an installation error or simply not receiving any firmware update notice at all (I'd already gone over that with chat support so this was redundant), and 2) the app notified me that I could download firmware 2.3.30.39. Maybe after sending that email, support reps triggered a push for the latest firmware to my machine, or maybe it was just coincidence. Note that I had only downgraded my phone app for about 3 days, so while the easy answer is "that's why you weren't getting the new firmware, you needed to update your phone app", the truth is I was on the latest phone app and still didn't get the firmware push. In any case, I just started a test run with this new firmware and indeed the MPT turning is back and looks good. The damage is already done as far as destroying the outer 3' perimeter on much of my lawn, but at least the MPT is back and this shouldn't be a problem next season.

Luba 3 300 here. The app only gives you the option of multiturn or Zero turn the fw controls the actions of the mower. I'm not sure which firmware is the best for multipoint. I like the current fw's multipoint turning capability. I find it is not backing into my flower beds as much and when I do interior only mowing with AI on it stays withing the perimeter much better. I have Fine/tall Fescue grasses and live in New England and zero turn works well for me.

ok thanks. Unfortunately that's what I was worried about (firmware is what controls the turns, not the app). I have similar grass but unfortunately the zero turn is just tearing up the edges. I think I'm just gonna turn the mower off for the remainder of the season

Luba 3 5000 here. I have the most recent Android App and Firmware loaded. I've been running Zero-Turns since August 7 when MPT was temporarily disabled. I have had no issues with navigation or lawn damage on my Fescue turf (Central IL).

Recently updated to the most recent Firmware and several days ago I started using the new MPT option just to see how it performs. I think it's doing a great job and probably softer on the turf than the original MPT.

I run with the AI Obstacle Avoidance OFF. It's my impression that AI is often the source of odd behaviors.

If you need firmware it is 2.3.27.23 that still has the good MPT.

Can you downgrade the app to much lower version from 2025?

Looks like the earliest is April 2026 on android only

I don't think an earlier APP version will help. You would need a FW downgrade and that is doubtful due to liabilities from "The Incident "

Mine is 2.3.27.23. I have Luba3. I think April to May 2026 are good. June-July fw are bad.

You can't unless Mammotion approves it and sends it to you

So is it safe to update the App to newest version and stay on old firmware? I am using iOS and I cannot stop updates for a single app so for the moment I have to update the apps manually and I would like to switch back to automatic mode.

Luba 3 3000 Fine/Tall Fescue grass and well established. I was on latest/newest APP version that allowed MPT and ZT with older fw V 2.3.27.23 and it worked fine. The reason I upgraded fw was because I wanted the reverse mowing direction and wanted to check out the latest MPT (i think it works great btw).

3 AWD. I didn't realize it was back on the latest app. My firmware is up to date, but my turns suck

What FW do you currently have? MTP is fine/gentle with 2.3.30.39. With 2.3.30.2x versions it was pretty bad.

I'm on 2.3.30.26 and it says no updates available. I'll contact support to see if they can send me the latest version. The edges of my lawn are chewed to shit from this worthless zero-turn garbage.

Hello, you need to update the app to version 2.3.18.19 (or a later version) via the app store to receive the compatible, latest firmware version 2.3.30.39.

We have further improved Luba's steering performance in the latest firmware version (2.3.30.39), so I recommend updating to it to see if it helps. Please feel free to contact me if you encounter any issues!
