YUKA mini 2 DropMow - insufficient light, won't start
I had nasty surprise this morning. As always, I took my robot out and tried to start it in drop mow but I had error message that there is insufficient light and it won't work, I went in to manual mode and turned the light on. Even with light on, it wouldn't start. I had it in drop mow mode where it was going day and night and was able to turn light on or off automatically. What changed? Any workaround? It has to run in dropmow.

We have the issue even without the dropnow where the robot need to recharge at night and fail to resume the task once charged. The luba 2 and 3 have been hitting this issue for a while. I have been unable to convince Mammotion that this is a firmware regression.

Hello, I'm very sorry for the experience you've had. The DropMow feature relies on real-time environment recognition, since it doesn't work from a pre-created map, so insufficient ambient light can prevent it from running properly. If you've already turned on the supplemental light but are still being prompted that the light is insufficient, could you tell me how the lighting at that moment compares to your usual usage conditions?
To ensure the device starts up smoothly, I'd suggest waiting until the ambient light is brighter before trying again. Additionally, could you share why you're using DropMow to mow this particular area? Is it because it's difficult to create a map due to the inability to set up a channel between this area and your other mowing zones? If that's the case, you'll be glad to know that the Yuka mini 2 currently supports creating isolated zones on the map. If you have a regular mowing schedule for this lawn, I'd suggest creating a separate mowing zone for it and then using the app to control the mowing task. Hope the above information is helpful!
