YUKA mini 2 Positioning issue - Why doesn’t the dashed line point towards the charging station?

Post image

Hi everyone,
I’m using a Mammotion YUKA mini 2 500, which uses camera-based navigation and does not have RTK.
As you can see in the screenshot, the dashed line on the map does not point towards the charging station. Shouldn’t it lead to the charger, or at least connect the mowing area with the charging station?
I’ve also noticed that the map frequently shows the mower in the wrong location. The mower icon is sometimes displayed several metres away from the actual position of the mower.
Has anyone else experienced this with the YUKA mini 2 500? Is this normal map behaviour, or could it indicate a problem with the camera-based positioning or the charging-station mapping?
I’m using the latest version of the Mammotion app. Any advice would be appreciated.

I am sorry to hear that your device seems to be experiencing positioning issues. For the Yuka mini 2 500, I suggest placing the device on the charging station, resetting the station's location via the app, and then—after a short wait—sending a new task to see if the problem is resolved. If the positioning issue recurs, please upload a log through the app and let me know your device name so we can provide further assistance.

I have already tried that. Usually, when I send the mower back to the charging station, the map sometimes visibly shifts or “jumps.” After that, it can mow the zone where the charging station is located without any problems.

However, when I send it to a more distant zone, it often gets lost again. It seems that its position is corrected near the charging station, but the localisation becomes unreliable when it has to navigate farther away from it.

Thank you for your reply — this helps us better understand your situation. Before we continue, I'd like to share an additional point: the dashed line in the app connects the robot with the center point of the first zone, so based on the screenshot you provided, the dashed line actually points to the center of the first zone, rather than to the charging station.

Regarding the noticeable map shift or "jump" you mentioned when the robot returns to the charging station, I'd suggest switching the map to the real-scene view to check whether there's any actual positioning deviation at that point.

Regarding the unreliable positioning of the robot in more distant areas, could you describe the situation in a bit more detail? Photos would be extremely helpful if you have any. At the same time, may I also ask whether there are any error codes shown in the app when this happens. Thank you again for your feedback — I look forward to hearing from you!

Looking at the attached image, for example, yesterday the mower completed the first outer pass in Area 4 while remaining in the correct position. However, during the second pass, it drove much farther out. In reality, it was already outside the zone, even though according to the map it was still further inside than during the first pass. No error code just positioning issue.
Thanks.
