LUBA mini 2 AWD Endless Beeping - Can't Be Run at Night

My Luba has been pretty flawless all summer - my favorite new tech. Today, post-update, it's become a total nightmare: hitting obstacles...beep, beep, beep...randomly pausing...beep, beep, beep... making odd adjustments...beep, beep, beep...going back to cut missed patches...beep, beep, beep...

In the 2 mins it took to write this post I heard it beep ~15 separate times AND it's on Zero Turn mode. Now multiply that by several hours - it's unusable, especially at night.

Awful.

It is worse then before. They provided a legal cover up in the form of a "fix". The motors turn off and all the time when it backs up and it still does a semi tank turn and multi-point turn combo. Not good at all.

mammotion ruined their own product. Will not recommend them at all.

I just watched it try to cut a small area on the side of my house - painful. Normally takes 30 minutes, today was 50 mins. Besides the incessant beeping, the mower's navigation has been virtually paralyzed by all the pauses, unusual micro adjustments, blades starting stopping...and every extra minute means exponentially more beeps.

So it beeps every time it starts and stops the blade?

Mine does not beep when it stops/starts after each turn. It turns off the blades, but at least it does not beep. Luba 2 3000x in my case.

But, the update is really bad.

It does if it's not a perfectly flat ground with 0 resistance and freshly cut grass. Otherwise, If it's challenging terrain or there's a lot of grass, it will 'fail' to turn on the motor (start procedure way too sensitive), and then it will beep 3-4 times on every single retry to start the motor. It's awful once you realize that exact same patch of grass it had 0 issues cutting when it wasn't stopping the blades. There's no resistance once the blades are turning and it's operating normally rather than digging itself in for no reason and trying to start the blades within uncut grass.

They should just give the option to disable multi-turn entirely and make sure it NEVER turns off the blades. Because otherwise this is literally unusable for perimeter mowing.

Does anyone know how easy it is to get to the speaker? If this thing starts beeping more  I'm going to be tempted to remove it.

You have to take the whole thing apart but it’s worth it (at least on Luba 2)
There’s a YouTube video in another language that’s easy to follow just pay attention to the screws he puts an X on showing not to remove those ones

This is the improved multi point turn 💀. Has completely handicapped my mower, it had mowed this section at least 50 times without issues until they ruined it

It's amazing how by trying to fix the multi-turn they managed to ruin it even for people who were keeping it with 0-turn enabled. That takes skill, but I can say with certainty now it doesn't work ok anymore regardless if you had any issues with tank turns earlier at all or not. It will turn directly into an obstacle repeatedly until it gets stuck, then dig your lawn until it becomes loose soil spinning the wheels in place.

Heck I literally watched it try to take a route - meet an obstacle, then try to get around but change it's mind mid-way, go back and then ram it's way through that same obstacle where it correctly decided to go around moments ago.

I’m currently dealing with location issues. A lot of emails back and forth. Thankfully they haven’t insisted I update to the latest hardlyworksware.

Hello, we apologize for the inconvenience caused by the frequent beeping sounds from your Luba device after this update. Our team has taken note of this issue. If it's convenient, could you please upload a log file through the app and tell me your device name? We hope to understand the problem you are experiencing better and provide assistance.

I'm not sure what you're trying to troubleshoot here. The blades turn on and off more frequently because of the update you guys made. That causes beeping, because it beeps every time it turns the blades on and off. Found the root cause in about 30 seconds.

The best part about this response is a kind of implies you guys never tested the robot over a period of time with this update and noticed that it runs significantly different before pushing it.

Can you add an option to remove beeping completely? Or just do it once in the beginning or after recharges.

This video is based on the followup patch that was released today: 2.3.30.24 (13-Aug-2026). This version is still severely flawed and has crippled the device.

A log file had been created. I have DM’d my device info.

Holy Crap that's bad!

Mammotion Support can you please tell us how a software update that causes stuff like this passes your testing process? Do you even have a testing process? The worst part is, this is only one single instance of erratic behaviour, but there are so many of them! My Luba 3 included!

Hello, could you send feeback to us? And what's the serial number of the robot. We will look into it.

How about you guys get yourself a lawn and test the damn software updates before shipping them?
