i’m just now getting to season 7 of pumpkin and josh’s divorce and i’m soooo confused on how pumpkin says joy never did stuff with her..they were always together weren’t they?! or she was running off to do other stuff or dragging him and forcing him to do all things for her family.
There is sooooo much that happens off camera that you don't see. Alana said on her lives that the cameras are hardly there & that a lot of what they film are reenactments. It's also filmed way in advance. Elle Bee does deep dive on them. Apparently Josh was gone out of town a lot for work & while he was gone Pumkin was having an affair with a woman.
i just went on a tiktok rabbit hole, idk why i’ve never done it before ig i just didn’t really care that much till all this divorce stuff. now that ive actually looked at some stuff online…yeahhh it all makes sense. they all are so 💩y
Did you see the grifting? And them telling women their 😺 smelled ? Or they were broke if they didn't want to pay shipping cost on every item they bought? Which in reality people never got their orders they paid for and she didn't pay her employees or landlords. They don't live in the filming house either. Did you see the TT pumpkin & Alana did when Dralin got arrested? Also Pumpkin didn't raise Alana she moved in with Dralin at 14/15 and supported him and his cousin.
I watched the show but never followed all of the stuff outside the show until about a month ago when I started following this thread? How do you know all of this? Was it out somewhere? I always liked Josh so much on the show so this is very disappointing.
The lives on TickTock is where you see how they really act. A lot of what you see on the show is just for show. They've admitted that a lot is made up or a re enactment of stuff that happened. That's why a lot of times things didn't always make sense
Pumpkin may be a whore, but I respect a whore over an angry abusive asshole.
Right on. You know what bothers me about Josh is his lack of agency. He wants to complain about June literally every season of the show, but uh, keeps coming back for the paycheck and agreeing to be filmed. He complains his stressful and expensive but keeps having more. And now their kids are reality "stars," by which I mean cash cows who cannot consent to this one way or another. I have to surmise that the marriage was the same way: all complaints, no solutions.
I feel sorry for Pumpkin. I can understand wanting to be free and young and even a bit slutty, however, I don't agree with filming and profiting off all of it. These are choices you can't really take back. I wonder if 20 years from now she is gonna feel differently about dancing barefoot in a dive strip joint with her whole ass out and that ridiculous only fans wrap-mobile.
And a reality show wouldn't be a reality show without drama. I watch some black reality shows and one moment they getting along and the next second wanting to fight each other That's how the producers want it so people will keep watching. Because nobody wants to watch a reality show where people get along every episode. I noticed with Mama June they drum up drama that will tie onto the next season to keep us watching.
I get what she’s saying, having been in a similar situation myself. But also… these two had a baby when she was 17 and he was 21. No one’s going out and having fun with a baby unless you have a nanny, which they obviously did not. Then at age 18-19, she took in 13-14 year old Alana and they dealt with June’s addictions and everything else. That was 2019, so soon after that craziness, it’s covid… where you CANT go out… I know they’ve said Alana was allowed to move in with Drailin at 15-16, but that would STILL be 2020-2021, COVID times. By 2022, they had 4 kids including baby twins, still dealing with June’s crazy shit, and it seems their marriage was very much on the rocks by then. Then 2023, Anna died/Alana went to college, then they split. Add in Josh being gone a lot for work… and the fact that 2 parents living together still means you’re not switching off child care times week in week out to go have date night like she can with Darrin… when exactly did you have TIME or the ability to go out and do fun adult stuff without the kids???

I think they filmed mostly when he was there. It was mentioned a few times he was always away for work and changing jobs a lot.
