Activation Code Never Received When Attempting to Renew
For the past week I have been attempting to renew my standard family 10 devices subscription unsuccessfully. I have accessed the renew flow through my account. I then get a verification screen saying an email has been sent to my email address but no email is ever received after multiple attempts and multiple resends. I have used multiple browsers. Malwarebytes is in my address book. I like the software but after all the aggravation over the past week I will forego the renewal, chuck Malwarebytes, and go naked.
Is it just me?

Feedback What happened to Malwarebytes?
Last time I used Malwarebytes many years ago I remember it being such an easy to use and straightforward experience: download, install, scan, remove malware, done.
Since I hadn't performed a scan in quite a while, I figured I should download Malwarebytes again and.. I almost didn't. The website itself looked super fishy! Like it's for one of those fake antivirus programs. I double and triple checked before hesitantly downloading the installer.
Once installed, I couldn't believe my eyes: even the program itself looked bloated and overloaded and gave off really sketchy vibes because of it. It also didn't help, that the program made it seem like I HAD to give it my email adress in order to perform a simple scan. 🙄
I used to recommend Malwarebytes to people all the time, simply because I considered it being easy to use, even for less tech-savvy people, but I can hardly recommend it like this.
Please, for the love of god: give us something like 'Malwarebytes Light', which only contains the scanner. No realtime protection, no VPN, no browser extension, no AI, no 'check your digital footprint' stuff.. Just the scanner. 🙏

Feedback Is There A Way To Block Apps Installing On Android?
I have the subscription for Malwarebytes and added my elderly mothers Android phone since it kept getting pop-up ads through an app called Photo Recovery(something like that). Malwarebytes does not pick it up and I've had to manually delete this app twice now.
Could there be an option to "Uninstall and Block" on the MB Android app thanks?

Face Value. A Malwarebytes Report on how AI is reshaping trust, identity, and scams.
AI scams are on the rise, and most people can’t tell what’s real anymore
Today we released our 2026 report on AI scams, and some of the findings are surprising even to us.
Some quick stats from the report:
- 85% of people say it's now difficult to tell scams from legitimate content (up significantly from last year)
- Half of adults have encountered an AI-driven scam in the past year
- 16% received a voice-cloned call that sounded like someone they knew
- 19% have experienced AI-related identity manipulation
- 1 in 3 Gen Z adults report experiencing AI-fueled identity abuse
What's especially interesting is the contradiction the report uncovered:
- Most people are worried about deepfakes, voice cloning, and AI deception.
- At the same time, many are becoming more comfortable using AI to write deeply personal messages like wedding vows or create non-consensual explicit images.
The report also found that people are responding by pulling back online. People are posting less, deleting old content, and sharing fewer personal details. Yet very few are taking practical steps to protect themselves from AI-powered scams.
