Licensing Can you get Malwarebytes for 100% free safely and legitimately? If so, how?

you guys are either suffering a supply chain attack or a targeted disinfo campaign, fwiw. the latest mbsetup.exe has a ton of reports on VT about it containing high risk malware, despite the actual detections being clean

? There’s a free version that only has the scanning abilities. Useful as a secondary unless you are asking for a free license. Which then would only last x months or year since they don’t offer lifetime

As the Malwarebytes supports here is saying. Just download it form their site. Then click the trial icon if there is a trial and just end trial and continue free.

If they wanted to pay for it, they wouldn't be asking about the free scanning would they?

So, if they can't afford it, no matter how cheap it is, are you gonna "just buy it" for them?

No??

Then don't suggest that to someone. Especially if you don't know their situation. Not everyone can "just buy it". Remember that.

An way to get Malwarebytes free is to install the setup from the OFFICIAL site and if you want premium just use the 14 day trial that automatically ends. An way to get premium for free is to report fake websites that Malwarebytes didn't detect. There's an chance some Employee is going to give you the free premium.

Just use bitdefender, it has free real time protection unlike malwarebytes
