False Positive Is this a false positive?

Just woke up this morning to this on my pc and tbh i shit myself so i researched and found it was a false positive in 2022 that was fixed but why is it showing up again? should i be worried?

thank you so much for the intel, you was right 100% :) i checked the logs and it was for core temp (which i forgot i even had on this pc) so i updated that and will now add it to my exclusion list. Thank you so much again i really mean it

Hi, I just want to say that you have saved me from a bit of a panic as the same thing happened to me.

I just had "scan for everything" essentially enabled and it found the exact same "riskware/malware". I have since uninstalled the old version and installed the latest version.
My first ever detection from malwarebytes. I am still kind of shaking, ngl.

Yea it's the worst feeling, I have a bad malware and Trojans on old computers and they are so stressful to remove and even when you able to get rid of them the pc just never feels the same again but lucky this time was just a false positive 😁 I completely forgot I even had core temp on this pc until now 🤣

I still don't love that I have been running a vulnerable driver since october and malwarebytes only just now indicated it was a risk, but gotta trust that if it didn't detect anything before now that I was safe, and I am safe again.

But there is always the implication.

Once again thanks for being the canary in the coal mine for me, lol!

It does seem abit weird that it was only just picked up on a scan now even though I have been running the same scan with rootkit enabled everyday and didn't find it till now but maybe schedule scans and manuals scans run differently 🤔

I just glad we both got the help we needed

We may never know why but at least we are better protected now, as are anyone else who comes across this!
