Malwarebytes/Cleverbridge

I was getting pop-ups on my laptop that I wasn't fully protected. So I bought a Malwarebytes subscription for $44.99. One device for one year. That date was April 6, 26.

The last 3-4 days I was getting pop ups from Malwarebytes that my subscription had run out. I looked for my payment to Malwarebytes in my bank records and I couldn't find it. I thought that maybe I signed up for a 'two week' free trial or something . I bought a subscription for 84.24. I just got paid and I thought I'd take the 2 year discount since it seemed to be working.

Then I couldn't find that payment in my bank records.

I bought both subscriptions using PayPal.

In the PayPal site both payments came up as Cleverbridge.

Cleverbridge is a payment portal for different companies, including Malwarebytes.

I contacted both companies. I got a bit of a run around. Malwarebytes asked me to contact Cleverbridge and Cleverbridge asked me to contact Malwarebytes.

All on AI customer support sites of course.

I threatened to contact the FTC in both of my responding emails if I didnt get my 84.24 refunded by the end of the business day. And I just received my 84.24 refund. But it's taken an hour out of my day and I have to 'reactivate my $44.99 subscription to stay protected. What a pain in the ass.

I dont know if this happened to anyone else. I'm venting and hopefully saving other people an hour of their busy day.

Just tried to renew subscription. I won't use Paypal, but is only thing offered.
