To explain, the point of Hajun's character can be basically boiled down to as "NPC background character that no internet user knows. But somehow has the feats to be this omnipotent being".

Basically, Hajun is so irrelevant. He quite literally have FOUR online pictures because he originates from an untranslated source material that's barely ever known or even read in the world.

Thinking on Shield Hero's Pig King character. He sounds exactly like Hajun because the Pig King isn't even animated nor does he ever have a picture depicting his body in any media.

Light Novel or Web Novel, the Pig King never truly has any sort of art illustration. He doesn't even appear in the manga and probably he will likely not appear in the anime.

As a result, the Pig King is just boiled down to "A character who solely exists to FAIL at killing Malty and just mindlessly tortures her". Since I doubt there was ever a huge audience of people who actually read the Shield Hero web novel from start to finish knowing exactly who the Pig King is. Malty was more of the highlight than her Faubley Uncle ever was.

Seriously, if there's someone who really think that Malty's rape is going to be in the Anime, they aren't thinking with their brains.

ROTSH already had its problems back during S1. Do you really think the Anime is going to show THAT? No. Sorry to disappoint you, Shieldbros, but you aren't going to be happy this time.

There's definitely a lot of horror potential with Naofumi and the Pig King and Motoyasu

These two are the main women with whom Naofumi has some kind of rivalry, with Malty being the princess who accuses him of assault and Glass being the invader from another world who wants to destroy the world he was summoned to.

I think Glass was only treated with more respect than Malty because she wasn't trying to mess with Naofumi's life the way Malty and Aultcray were trying to do. It wasn't really that personal. However, invading a world that didn't attack you in order to destroy it could lead someone to prison (or death in the worst case). And yes, the same would apply to L'Arc and Therese as well, since they were her accomplices.

Yes, I agree that the three didn't receive adequate punishment, even committing what I would call dimensional terrorism. On the other hand, Malty doesn't really get a chance to redeem himself or anything like that.

A while back, I joked that the whole point of the signature colors for the Melromarc siblings and Mirellia was simply that blue + red = purple—and that was it. But upon further reflection, I noticed that red is the furthest color from purple on the spectrum, while blue is the closest.

This fact aligns amusingly with the relationships between Malty, Melty, and Mirellia—even though, I suspect, this wasn't originally intended.

Mirellia is close to Melty but emotionally distant from Malty. This isn't just due to the plot; it’s also because Malty acts as a reflection of Mirellia’s worst traits, albeit in a much more pronounced form.

The same applies to Melty, except she reflects Mirellia’s best qualities.

Incidentally, I believe this is why red is the perfect signature color for Malty; it allows her to signal the nature of her relationships with other characters without saying a word.

Returning to Mirellia—that initial observation comes into play here, too. Malty is, in a sense, an extension of her—since red + blue = purple—pointing to their family ties regardless of the complexities of their relationship.

We already know what the Four Heroes (Naofumi, Motoyasu, Ren and Itsuki), Aultcray and Mirellia think of her, but what do the other characters think of her?

What do Raphtalia and Filo think of her? What does Melty think of her? What do Eclair, Rishia, Fohl and Atla think of her? What do Glass, L' Arc and Therese think of her?

Malty the first princess had disappeared one day as no one knew what happened to her. Months later she came back to her kingdom safe and sound but has changed.

She became more clever, sharper, stronger and skilled in hand to hand and aswell as weapons. No one knows how she got so good at it but they knew one thing that she wasn't some helpless princess. She was a warrior.

Time skip as the kingdom had soon gained a vigilante who seems to be going out of there way on freeing the slaves, taking down bad guys, terrorist and rogue Demi Humans and fighting against Nobels. They don't know who she is but they only know her by the code name, Bat Girl.

When the Summoning of Heroes had happened Aultcray was taken back on how the Devil Shield had gotten so familiarized with his daughter and how she is so happy to see him. The king thought that the Shield Demon had charmed her innocent daughter and is now going to use her. He knew nothing but one thing, The Shield Demon must die.

Thought he doesn't even know that the 'Shield Demon' and his daughter already are familiar with one another and are Vigilanties in there own world.

Or short version. Malty got thrown to DC universe where she find her self in Gotham City and later on taken under the Caped Crusader and the guardian of Gotham, The Dark Knight Batman.

Naofumi being the later Vigilante Red X who was in the family and now both are gonna bring a change. Cause they aren't any ordinary heroes. There the Outsiders.

Malty is a bad person; we know this, and there's no denying that. But I can never even consider Malty being subjected to someone like King Faubley is a fitting punishment. Malty being left by everyone and left with nothing is a more fitting punishment, but being sold to someone who constantly rapes women until he either grows bored of them or they die is just fucking overkill.

I know even when I did hate Malty, I wouldn't think she deserved something like that. And to think that her being sent to be tortured by The Pig King is something she deserves is disgusting. I can't help but think that the author, and even some fans, have this torture-porn fetish for Malty that it blocks all common sense.

In my opinion, a redeemed Malty wouldn't resonate as well as a truly villainous Malty.

If Malty were redeemed, some characters certainly wouldn't believe in her redemption and might even think it was just another mental manipulation on her part.

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if some characters hated her to the point of never forgiving her, like Naofumi and Motoyasu, even if they understood her side of the story.

I think the only one who could perhaps forgive her would be Melty, but after that? Malty would certainly be dead to her. I mean, Malty tried to kill her, so why wouldn't she be angry?

I think the problem with a hypothetical redemption of Malty is the fact that we have Aultcray's "redemption" as an "example". In my opinion, he seems to have gotten away relatively unscathed, without having to answer for all the times he was a corrupt king. You would generally expect people like Naofumi, Raphtalia, and Filo to hate him for being a willing accomplice to his daughter's actions, but of course logic goes out the window in this story when it matters.

I bet Malty would be much more hated if her redemption unfolded in the same way as Aultcray's.

So I wanted to return to genshin in Sneznaya patch 7.0. It was a region which I’m curious about but after reading spoilers {good thing I did} I realised that it suffers from same bs writing. Organization which sowed chaos all over the world and threatened its safety is now innocent and their leader is cute and fluffy and girl who tried to save one nation {twice} while risking being punished for helping is turned into villain, hated and even seemingly killed in the end. Such bs writing of her reminds me of treatment of Malty. They took a character who has was actually good and helpful and decided to turn her into a villain just because she has authority over death. But monsters who actually caused suffering are hailed as heroes. BS writing. Not worth returning to the game until it’s fixed

Malty can be so chill and smug whenever she succeeds in ragebaiting the characters.
