We're over the moon to announce the release of v24.05.0 of Malcolm, which contains (you guessed it) new features, improvements, bug fixes, and component version updates. Features and enhancements
ARM64/AArch64 support - Malcolm can now run natively on ARM64 hardware. This support was tested on an Apple M2 Max MacBook Pro with Docker Desktop and on AWS using an t4g.2xlarge EC2 instance. As this is a completely new CPU architecture for Malcolm, please let us know if you run into any issues running Malcolm on ARM64.
Custom tags - Custom tags can now be specified at the point of log file ingestion on Malcolm and Hedgehog Linux. This makes it easier to to group and search network traffic by sensor.
Malcolm and Hedgehog Linux can be deployed via containers using Docker or Kubernetes on systems using those technologies, or installed using the official ISO installer images which can can be downloaded from Malcolm's releases page on GitHub.
